It's a pretty morning here. The rooster next door slept a little late and I thought I might have to go shake him awake, but now he's up and letting the world know.

Yesterday was all about cleaning - house and trailer - plus lots of laundry and rug washing. And I got my July OWL block done just before we left for our friends. Today will be more laundry - towels, blankets, fabric - and make the little July blocks. I'm not sure what else will happen today. Maybe some reading, maybe some cross stitch on Amara's Christmas stocking.
BECCA - You do keep busy! How does laundry work at your new home? Do they do it or is there a laundry room? Or do you have a W/D in your apartment? Your meals do sound tasty. You have a 1-bedroom unit? I did Google the complex and it looks beautiful.
CAROL - Glad we "OWL-ers" were able to inspire you. I want to see your -Spooky project when you get it finished. I love Halloween sewing, which is weird because I don't really pay much attention to the holiday itself. I actually wasn't going to do OWL, but enough others were chatting about it, I checked it out, and then QIAD went and had the entire set of patterns on 40% off sale. I capitulated. It's not my usual kind of project, but I'm having a lot of fun with it and glad I am doing it. And it includes patterns for several additional projects for each month. I think I got my money's worth.
LORI - I don't buy a lot of fabric either except on these semi-annual sales this one shop has. Occasionally a project I'm working on needs something I don't have, but usually, my stash has all I need. I haunt thrift shops for books, though. There are lots of them there, but once in a while I find a real jewel. I saw both your boys had birthdays! Are they 6 now? They grow up so fast, don't they.
It's going to be a really nice day so I think we'll grill a steak to share. And a baked potato and salad.
