Yesterday we were 80*, a little too warm for me, but this morning we were 30* with 15 mph winds. An hour later we're 26* and even higher winds! Not a wonderful travel day. We're in no hurry to hit the road.
Yesterday was a nice day with "Aut-onio". Get it? Autumn and Antonio? (They did that, not me.

TINA - is everything all cleaned, dusted, washed, mopped, waxed, polished, and vacuumed now? Whew! I'm tired! Don't feel bad about what you found under your curio cabinet. We all have "curio cabinets" in our lives! You wouldn't believe what all we found under our stove last summer when we had our kitchen floor done! Acckkk!! Embarrassing!
CAROL - oh, small stippling can be exhausting. Even with our LA I try to do it in segments over several days. When is Road to CA? I guess I could look it up . . . Sounds like your sis really does need to hire someone - if she or her DD can find a person. Seems no one wants to work these days.
MARY ROSE - what fun to play with your new machine! I'm sure a good name will come to you soon. What did you decide to take to your sick co-worker's house for dinner? I always think a chicken/rice/broccoli/cheesy casserole is a good choice.
BECCA - I hope you are able to stay out of that leafy ditch today! Another job to be hired out! Did you get started on your new embroidery?
LORI - I think I read that book - The Chevarini book. I've read most of her books some time back. I really like Mary Daheim, Monica Ferris, Laura Levine, J A Jance, among others a lot. And Anne George who only wrote 8 books before she passed away. Did you tell us what you are embroidering and I forgot? Sometimes we need a break from our sewing machines to recharge - or would that be "re-oil" - our creative quilting juices.
JANA - big doin's at your house, for sure! Aaron's new job, Ethan's new age, De-decorating, and company cleaning! You're not a bad housekeeper! I wash my kitchen cabinets about once every 4 or 5 years, if that's any measure. But I do dust the pictures on the walls every couple of months. (You DID dust the pictures, didn't you??) lol! I hope Crenda's in-laws are nice.
VELDA - yes, the house does look bare once Christmas is put away. But it also looks clean! Takes a few days to get used to it. Or maybe I'm just not used to a clean house! lol!
We have just enough linguini, salad, and garlic bread left from yesterday for our supper tonite. I sent the cake home with "Autonio". But we'll see how things go today. We have 350 miles to go but with the wind and freezing temps we're in no rush to get underway. It will be a 7 or 8 hour drive. It will be nice not to have to cook a new dinner at the end of the road.
What's bubbling in your pot tonite?
