Supper club - tuesday, Nov 17

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Nov 17, 2020 5:37 am

Good morning!

Made it to Gila Bend. 91’ yesterday!🥵. We finally got out generator to start the AC. Sitting outside in shade of trailer was tolerable in light breeze. Poor Scottie & Foxy were suffering. They laid out flat on gravel under trailer most of the afternoon, not hardly moving. Moving on to Tucson today where it will be 90’ again, but we will have power for AC. Coming from a rainy 43’ this heat hit me hard.

Got call last night from Vicki’s SIL, Ben, who was in court for 4th time. Judge finally said he agreed she needs help! She is going to be involuntarily committed for minimum of 72-hr psyche hold, with possible permanent placement. This will happen Soon. We alerted our house-sitter who was able to give us more details on how this will probably go down as he is a psychologist. He saw her 2 nights ago out in middle of road, dark & rain, whacking at cars with her walking stick. Finally courts see she is danger to herself! And to hapless drivers! But have to admit, now that this if finally happening, it’s so very sad.

Jana, sorry the roast recipe wasn’t a keeper. But you’ve always got Paula! Glad Sarah’s tests were negative. She is smart o be pro-active! Oh that Aaron!!

Becca, sounds like you are pulling everything together for Thanksgiving. You will be having Marty, his friend, and his children and families?

Lori, when you make your orange chicken do you buy frozen popcorn chicken or do you make your own?

I don’t have a clue about supper tonight. We may hit the grocery store in Tucson today, tomorrow for sure. We might have Raw-fried sliced potatoes & onions and baked beans w/ sliced kielbasa cooked on outside stove.

How about you?

Good morning! Thank you for all the birthday greetings! I had a wonderful day! We had dinner with my DD and family, and she made me a pumpkin pie for dessert. A year older and slower…

Mary—so sad about Vicki and yet so glad she will be safe and not a danger to the public or herself… at least for 72 hours. Happy trails! Love those desert sunsets!

Becca—we do our shopping at the bank as well… the color is right, and it always fits!!! No returns or exchanges, either!!!

Jana—Glad Sarah’s test results were negative for those items! She will be her best resource. Sorry about your roast recipe! Glad you could save it for next night! Love your red coat—congratulations on the weight loss!!!

Lori—I wish we were on DST year around! I know all about doggie snots, too, Used to have kitty snots all over patio doors as well. My truck windows have doggie nose prints everywhere.

Irish—hard to understand people who have no hobbies or interests. At least your sister cooks!!! Your shrimp and veggies—yum!!!

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? We aren’t having a dinner this year because our county is being overrun by Covid. DH invited his sister which disturbs me as she comes from the city. He wants me to fix a turkey so he can have leftovers for sandwiches. Guess I’m cooking.

I caught up a little from back posts. Almost time to go walk the grand and great grand dogs. My boys live for time to go on the long walks. We also try to go help DH cut wood or stack for him and get in a little more walking before it turns too cold to enjoy and I make myself go walk the dogs. I finished one of the quilts for the great grandbabies yesterday and need to bind the other two. Hopefully I’ll get another finished today.

Dinner tonight… my favorite—leftovers! We certainly won’t starve, and I don’t have to cook!

Bon appétit!

Maryz, my orange chicken comes in a bag from Trader Joe's. Super easy.

Chickie, I have kitty snots as well. They are on the windows where I have a perch for each cat.

I've had a busy morning and I need to go get my hairs cut now.

We'll probably have a late lunch today and skip dinner.

Have a lovely day.

Good afternoon!

Just talked to Sarah and Stu just picked up his rental car and is heading out to Boise today. He is training people at the new facility in Nampa for Amazon. He promises to check in on his trip, he is so not travel directonal able! He will be gone for two weeks and then will quarantine for a additional 2 weeks when he gets home.

Not much here. Sewing and watching the clouds roll in with a storm approaching.

Mary - glad to here the news on Vicki. It is bittersweet, but will be for her good in the end.

Chickie - glad to see you. You are always so busy!

Lori - love Trader Joe's. They have so many yummy things! That's where I get my chocolate croissants.

Dinner - still in the unknown category. There are plenty of choices, so we won't be hungry.

Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana
