Supper club. Thursday, Nov 12

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Nov 12, 2020 6:51 am

Good morning!

A pretty good travel day yesterday. We landed within 60 miles of Chriss, possibly closer. If it weren’t for Covid we would visit. ☹️

Chickie- I hope you check in today so you can collect birthday wishes! Hope you have a happy day!

LOri - fly safe!! Did your son just love your reindeer quilt?

Jana, yay For a new red wool coat! I always think of red when I think of you. Now I know why! Cute Kimber bell pattern you are doing! we will be going over Tehachapi, across the Mojave on “40” to Needles, south thru Searchlight to Blythe, then east on “10” to Quartzsite where we will dry camp in desert for 2 nights, and then 2 nights at Picacho St Pk just west of Tucson where we camp among huge saguaros, another favorite stop for us. From there we will be in Deming NM for quick hello with Tina. I have blackberries for her and she said she might have chilies for me.

Carol, is the new kitty settling in? I just love her sweet face. Do you know yet if she likes sewing? 😹

Becca, you have reminded me that we still need to find a turkey breast for TG. We hunted for a week before we left and there was delay in getting them shipped, or so we were told. I expect, with smaller gatherings this year they will be in higher demand. I better ask my sister to see if she can find one and bring it. Now my problem is room in the freezer.

We have a little pesto pasta left from last night So I think we will grill chicken to have with it. And perhaps canned green beans. Or cooked carrots. We will arrive at our Orange Grove RV Park in Bakersfield about noon-ish and spend two nights there simply because it’s such a cool place to camp right in the middle of the Orange Trees. And we can pick oranges! All we want!

Hi Everyone,
Maryz - Yes Cheri is settling in. Although, last night DH decided to give her the run of the house minus three of the four bedrooms. Well she ran around playing and broke a small vase and knocked over a couple things. Tonight she will be confined to one room!

Mary, JennyO has a two and a half pound frozen turkey breast at Ralph’s. They have a gravy packet and taste wonderful. They are not a turkey roast. We have had them for dinner for several years now.

Jana All I can say is congratulations! Keep it up, you are doing great!

Becca - Glad you have been able to visit with family. Stay safe!

Dinner will be Fast hash.

Good morning!

First off, Happy Birthday Chickie! Enjoy your special day!

Dinner here will be stuffed manicotti- simple cheese filling, simple marinara sauce.

Mary - thanks for the itinerary. Know that route. We stayed in Bakersfield one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. Went through Needles in July! I have a friend from Concord that moved to Bakersfield and she is a avid quilter. There must be a quilt shop there somewhere!

Carol - oops! Cheri will soon learn her spots or maybe you will . My kitty Perry understood the phrase, knock it off, so he did just that! Knocked things to the ground. I learned to just say stop it, instead.

Not much here. Just waiting for packages to arrive. Will work on my bench pillow. Michael is trying to figure out how to get a sheet of plywood without going in the store. He is picky on which he wants. Aaron is off today and can help, as he has our little truck.

Well, time to head off to my Batt Cave,
Hugs,
Jana

Good morning!
Mary, sounds like you have everything planned and are having a wonderful trip! We started moving my sewing stuff back in yesterday and today we're rearranging LOL because I want to be able to have a more open path to walk through, better now than after the LA arrives and is set up!
Happy Birthday Chickie!!!!! 🎂🎉
Carol, your new kitty it's so sweet 😻 I had a kitty that would come inside and sit on my table beside my sewing machine and supervise me with her eyes closed, I missed her.
Jana, your new coat sounds perfect! Congrats on the weight loss!
I'm not sure what's for support yet.
Break time is over, gotta scoot!
