SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Oct 15
Good morning!
Well, what a jam-packed weekend we had! Yesterday I did several load of laundry, swapped sheets on our bed for flannel, cleaned cupboards in trailer and reorganized everything, restocked items like paper goods, spices, etc, cleaned the garage, baked banana bread, and watched the Seahawks WIN! They were really soaring in London!
Today is more laundry (bedding), some uglies, digging out our travel 2-foot Christmas tree, and also my totes of Christmas clothes, choosing what goes to Texas and washing, packing it. We also need to vacuum out our trailer storage bins and start packing in things that go to Autumn.
We haven't set a departure date yet, though it will be as soon as we can get it together after Oct 28 which is when we are getting together with our local family. We also haven't chosen a route yet either as that is dependent on weather. We'd like to go east through Montana then turn south through WY into CO to visit my sisters. But we may just shoot straight south through CA. We can deal with cold, but snow stops us literally in our tracks. Anyway, much of my days now are preparing the trailer to go or the house/yard to leave. Our PLAN is to be settled in Texas by the weekend before Thanksgiving.
SHIRLEY MAE - always nice when you stop by Supper Club to visit! Sorry about all the health problems. Hope Rod's burns weren't too bad! It will be fun to see your AZ family again!
TINA - I hope Frankie's sibs show up for Klobase. Sharing the fun is what makes it FUN! Wow, Kevin's life has changed so much in the last couple years - a wife, a son, a house, a good job, and a DOG! You mean you both now have a dog named Rosie? lol!
BECCA - I guess we are ALWAYS happy with our RV. We've had 3 truck campers and a motorhome, but once we got our Arctic Fox fifth-wheel we really settled in. We'd still have the old one if it weren't for all the upcoming necessary work to be done on the underneath (suspension, springs, etc). We decided after 15 years a new one was in order and we bought the exact same model and love it even more! It's small enough to tow and park easily but large enough to be comfortable in for months at a time. And it has lots of room for extra fabric! But it's always fun to look! Our friends, Bob & Betsy, texted us last night from Oregon. They have an Arctic Fox truck camper and said they are going to get a trailer soon instead so of course, we had to haul out all literature we save on Arctic Fox to inspect the rig they plan to buy. It's fun! and now you've got me started! lol!
IRiSH - glad ND won! The sweatshirt worked! Do your lunching friends enjoy sports like you do? If so, you should take turns hosting each other so you can share the fun. You can have tailgate parties in your driveway! Of course, you'll need a tailgate, but there's lots of those at junkyards for cheap! lol!! No, I passed on little Dotty, as cute as she is. I'd have a half-dozen cats except I've noticed that since we've only had Foxy, the hair in this place (and in our home on wheels) has been cut by 75%. Kind of enjoying that. But Scottie would love a kitten or a puppy. So Bill isn't letting Scottie vote. Or me, for that matter.
JANA - your red/white tree sounds awesome! I love Christmas, too. I used to let Lara have a little on in her bedroom when she was little (like age 3). she got to decorate it however she wanted. When the other kids came along there was no room for a tree and all those grabby little hands. We always have a 3-foot tree in the trailer if we're out over Christmas. It's a condition that HAS to be met if I'm leaving home over Christmas. If he hasnt' done it yet, tell Matt to check out any off-season deals your state parks may have.
Supper tonite is going to be pasta. Bill can decide if he wants marinara, pesto, or alfredo sauce. Salad on the side. Easy peasy.
and what can we get for you?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Oct 15
Good morning! I’m back. What a wacky weekend. I had a good lunch/visit with Mom on Saturday. We split a Reuben sandwich and had cups of delicious potato soup for our side. I started working on the mints for her birthday party in the afternoon. We are damp and chilly here. Tonight we are expecting freezing temps. I always hate that. I prefer balmy year around—I am after all a California native!
Yesterday morning DH woke up in pain. After self medicating with pain meds, he upchucked several times and decided he was in too much pain to stay home. So… we spent the afternoon in the ER. After lots of time, labs, CT scan, time, he was diagnosed with a small kidney stone and sent home with scripts for pain and nausea. There’s nothing like a man who is not feeling well… He called the urologist today and was disappointed to find out the ER doc’s instructions were correct—wait and see. He thought they should do something immediately. I don’t know when he’s going to learn to drink his water!!! Thanks for letting me vent! I really needed my yoga zen this morning!!!
Today I’m finishing my laundry that was interrupted with yesterday’s activities. And, I’ll be working on the mints. I’m also on dog duty.
Mary—what a job it is getting ready to go traveling!!! You get to string Christmas out for several months—how exciting! Congrats to the Seahawks!
I have no idea what DH will want, if anything, for dinner tonight. He didn’t eat anything yesterday, and I know he didn’t drink half his water quota. I have soup for me! I won’t starve. Unfortunately I’m a stress eater, so I’ll probably eat his share. I will enjoy my dog walks, too, even in the 40-degree temps with a north wind to bring the chill to the 30s.
Sorry this is short. I’m going to work on the mints. I have a bunch of molds and colors made up for the molds. Have a great day! Bon appétit!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Oct 15
Good Morning Mary and those who follow.....Rod just pulled some chili out of freezer to thaw for supper. Chili dogs....yay! Last time he made it, he made lots and we froze some for cold days.
The cold days have arrived. We broke a few weather related records last night in KCMO. Earliest snow and coldest temp since who knows when. WE only got snow/rain mix here for a little slush but officially 2 tenths of an inch. Some places had more, enough to cover decks and cause trouble for traffic.
My sister up in Lincoln, Nebr said they 3-4" and it was a mess with tree branches coming down all over. Leaves haven't fallen yet so would be a very heavy combo along with freezing temps and wet wet snow building up.
Your Artic Fox must have a lot of room for all that stuff, a tree, decos, etc along with fabric. Is there room for the pets, can't forget them? Prayers for safe travels for you and all campers. Can get iffy when running into winter storms along the way.
Rod feels better today. Has dr apptmt tomorrow. Our New Orleans DD and DH and doggy Gidget (tiny chihuahua) will be here thur. So excited to see more of our family again. Wish they weren't in 4 states but it is what it is. At least our son, DDIL, and one DGD and her hubby live in this area.
Need to get busy today but wanted to say Hi and let you all know I think about you all, read when I can, and always pray for your needs each day. God is with you no matter how hectic life gets.
God bless you and your day, Love and hugs across the miles and prayers too for each of you. Shirley Mae

Hello everyone, sunny day at 71.Im still longing for cooler temps. We haven’t been below 45 yet.We need the cold to change the leaves. They are at least a month behind this year.
Our DGD still has no power after 6 days. They are on city water thank goodness for that.
She said there’s no trees Down & Most people around them have power.Feel for them as Avery is little.
Jana I Too Love all Christmas trees & decorations.Your tree sounds pretty.
Maryz Its Good to know you are content with what you have. And there must be tons of room or you’re a fantastic packer .I have always been A Christmas lover but with CAs oxygen lines & his condition I have had to give us some decorations.Would love a big tree but we will see.Maybe with DS here I will put it up.
Chickie Those mints will be splendid I know.Sorry about DHs issues. If CA was like that I would be a nut case by now.He does really good with all his problems. Most of the time.lol
Shirley Mae I know you are excited over family coming to visit.Enjoy them & glad Rob is on the mend.Chili sounds good for cold weather.
Irish Glad you team won & enjoy the shirt of Jim’s.
I got my closet done & weeded out some shoes, skirts & pants.Guess I could give away more.Im bad to think I may need it.
We are having turkey sausage,Potatoes in the jacket,& black eyed peas. Becca

Good morning!
By the time I finish typing, it will be afternoon! LOL
Been working in the Batt Cave - taking out each project box, carefully going through it and then refolding everything and putting that box back. Then I started on the stash of fabric baskets - there are 20 of them - each a different color - going through taking out all the fabric, refolding and then putting it back - I have 5 done so far - slow going. The trash can is getting full! Some of the scraps should be labeled - what was I thinking! LOL!
Dinner is tortilla soup. I have the laundry going too.
Through all of this - still no wall hanging - it is not small - 40 x 40,so it has to be here somewhere!
Back to refolding and looking - you will find me under the pile of fabric!
Enjoy!
Jana
