SUPPER CLUB - Sat, July 7th
Good morning!
It's raining! Yay! I WAS going to put laundry on the lines today, but guess I'll change that plan to the dryer. Our temps should reach 71*. I was also going to give my roses a little TLC today but they will have to be happy with getting a good drink instead. We do need to do some grocery shopping, so I know our day will fill up.
We found little amiss when we got home yesterday. Vicki moved her five planters back onto our property - only about 18". And they will stay there until it's time to mow again when Bill will move them back to her side. We could see everything she did on our phones via our security cams. She just walked through our yard a few times is all. So either the cameras are doing their job and she's behaving, or she just doesn't have the strength any more to drag all her things through her high grass to our place. Or she doesn't want to lose her stuff - wheelbarrows, shelves, wood racks, chairs, etc. - because we told her next time she wouldn't get any of it back.
TINA - your meals always sound so delicious! I will have to look at the recipe on the back of the Hersheys can. Though I don't make chocolate cakes often. But Bill's birthday is coming up . . .
IRISH - oh no! Seems like lately, if it weren't for bad luck your family would have no luck at all! I hope you're feeling better soon. But it's a real bummer when doctors can't figure out what's wrong with you and they say go home and sit on it. I'm sorry you missed your trip. And how sweet of Nick to keep his eye on you!
BECCA - Belated happy birthday wishes to your Honey-Bun!! Sounds like you fed him a feast! And with that farm close by, you'll be feasting all summer long! We used to have a farm like that close to us. The old couple who owned it were friends of my grandparents 100 years ago. When my dad first left home in 1931, he moved into their root cellar and worked on their farm. But now it's a branch of TAcoma Community College, so no fresh veggies any more.
JANA - I've never heard of cooking corn with milk before. I'm anxious to hear what you think of your second 'go' at it.
PAM - Yes, it's good to be home, though we do take our own bed, shower, and bathroom with us when we travel. I always find myself stomping on the floor to flush the toilet when we get home again. our trailer toilet is flushed with a foot pedal. All the pets go with us traveling, too, but they are always so happy to be home again. And yet, yesterday, we found Foxy back in the trailer, sprawled across the table, watching us as we unloaded. After fighting us for three weeks to get out! lol!
Tonite's supper is going to be soup. Creamy chicken noodle with peas. I have leftover cooked noodles and creamy sauce, canned chicken, and half package of frozen peas. Just enough to make two servings. And toast.
What's the supper story at your house?

We are going to a graduation party pig roast for dinner. I made some cottage cheese and mandarin oranges for a dish to pass. Dan is already making faces and hopes I put my dish to pass in a dish I don't mind leaving. I am way ahead of him. I made it in an ice cream tub!
Have a great day, today, everybody!

Good morning
Mary, welcome back home! I'm glad your getting rain
I love it when God waters my rusebushes and stuff, they do so much better than when I water them.
Tonight's supper is leftover brisket and all the leftover trimmings. Last night I made my BIL the red enchiladas and he loved them! Made me happy
We're at Dad's again, Frankie is helping my brother finish the porch roof.

Good morning!
Playing with my new toy, a deep fryer. My old one broke, hence the new bigger one. Made doughnuts this morning. Nothing like a hot fresh one and a cold glass of milk.
Today is my Aaron's birthday. He is my baby and turning 31. When did he get that old and a dad to two beautiful little girls!
Mary - no place like home, even if you take one with you all the time!
Pam - a pig roast - polynesian style? In the pit, buried? That is so yummy! Enjoy!
Tina - brisket goes a long way! Aaron wants to turn mine into pastrami, we will see.
Michael got the lawns mowed very early this morning, as soon as it was legal to make noise. Me, I have a doughnut mess to clean up and then play down in thee cave.
Accordung to the "they" we only get over 100 about five times a year. One down, 4 to go! It has cooled off with cloud cover and maybe a tbunderstorm in the afternoon.
Sarah is still camping. Matt broke the rear stabilizers on his RV the last time they were out, so he is upgrading them, as well as fixing them. My niece has her RV at the same place as Sarah. Oh yes, Sandee named the RV, the Fortune Cookie 2. Her first RV was the original.
Oh, dinner - something simple, grilled chicken and a salad.
Enjoy,
Jana
