SUPPER CLUB June 22 Friday

Hello everyone,sunny & warm here.Yesterday was cloudy most of day.Very nice for a change.
Got beds stripped,laundry done,srayed the house inside & out for insects.Then made lunch.And I watered plants too.And cleaned up from my hummers.They are really making a big mess on my porch.May have to relocate the feeder.

Maryz Sure youre involved in so much fun with rally goingings on.Think today is game day & you & Bill are in charge.Enjoy.

Tina Hope you got to rest after your big trip I think I would need one after all your near mishaps.That would be hardon the ticker.Hope Jax is better.

Pam Your meal must have been a buffet with so many options.

Chickie Sure you & the Holligans are busy if you are able toescape the rentals.

Irish Sure you are up to something.Hope it's a good one for you.

Good morning
I'm relaxing at the moment, my house is clean! Everything is watered outside and we're going to be 104 again today. My plan today is working on my sewing room....I'm gonna go at it a little slow, I'm pretty tired from all this manual labor!
We're gonna have a little stake on the grill tonight, baked sweet potato and salad.
Jazz is doing good. DD and all are going to California next month to Sea World, Legoland and the zoo, I'm praying they have a safe trip.

Good morning!

Welcome home Tina! Happy to hear Jaz is feeling better. The trip to San Diego will be lots of fun. Just be sure to have good walking shoes - the zoo there is huge! We did that trip with Matt and family a few years back. In Balboa park, where the zoo is, there is a fabulous model railroad that you can visit and see the different scales of trains. They run the trains all the time. Of course we went tbere too. Oh yes, there is a aerospace musuem with a real live space capsule and moon rocks.. fun too. All right there in Balboa Park, right near, a block or so from the zoo. Lots of parking nearby as well.

Becca - that is my biggest bug a boo - flies in the house! Drives me bananas! And with the horses right next door, there are tons - I make sure the grands all close the door behind themselves!

I made soup, so there is plenty for tonight. Not much here, just the same old stuff, different day. Michael is going over to Sarah's to trim off a piece of a countertop in her laundry room. Sticks out and she will bang her head. She redid the arrangement in the laundry room and caused this to happen. Dad to the rescue!

Good afternoon! DH had a follow-up appointment today from his surgery. He had a good report and returns in a month. So... no rental work for me, although he went to do some minor work since we came back home. I have watering to do, then maybe some sewing if I can remember how to turn on my machine.

I got a laser at Harbor Freight on Wednesday, and I put it on my machine. It's so cool! Makes making half square triangles a breeze. The new machines have nothing on me!

Tina, glad you are recovering... I think you're recovering from your trip although I think you may be overdoing the work since you got home. I know, I know... it has to be done by someone, and that someone is always us! Glad Jaz is doing well.

Jana--I want to come for taco soup! Ha, ha! I knew you wouldn't pass up a model railroad exhibit! I saw a feature on Sunday Morning CBS about a model train extravaganza that was too cool! Michael would love it!

Becca--I'm trying to lay low from the rentals. Ha, ha! Yesterday we went to town and mowed. Such a dusty job. Not much grass, but the weeds grow like crazy in the heat and humidity.

Tomorrow is my Saturday in town meeting my friend and lunch with Mom. Dinner tonight... something light. We had a snack when we got back from the appointment, so it will be light for dinner... probably some Chinese for DH and a salad for me.

LOL. I posted earlier, but it didn't take. Oh, well. I went to the produce and meat store. (I also went to the specialty chocolate candy store, but that's a different story.) I have plenty of fruit for an awesome fruit salad to bring as my dish to pass to a sew day, tomorrow. And I got stuff for a great green salad, tonight for supper. I got a mexican t-bone steak. It was $3 a pound cheaper than regular. It appears to be cut a little thinner, and may have more meat around it. Dan is out gadding about, so I am only in charge of me and the dogs.

I will only have two blocks for block lotto, because it is time to switch gears. This weekend, I will do a baby quilt for a coworker. Her shower is next Friday.
