SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 19th
Good morning!
The TV is full of festive coverage. So nice to see so many gathering to celebrate Bill's mom's birthday! lol! Oh, and that other little event, too. I hoped you all liked the royal wedding dress because it was an almost duplicate of mine from back in 1971. My veil was a tad shorter and I had a bit of lace on my bodice. Otherwise, she copied me! Though I bet she didn't buy hers off the sale rack at Rhodes Department store for $30!
Sorry to be late this morning. We were sipping our coffee with the royals. Loved the little kids! So well behaved!
We're home from camping, obviously, and have trailer emptied, cleaned, and restocked for the next outing. Laundry is done and I have fabric for backing the orange bargello quilt hanging out on the line. I think today I can play in my sewing room a little bit! But the biggie will be to get the bargello loaded on the LA. all 100" x 100" of it!
For supper, we've been invited to our friends, Gus & Claudia's for burgers. I'm taking 3-bean salad. Not sure what else is on the menu.
What's on your menu for tonite?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 19th
Hi, guys! We just got home from the quilting class, today. He talked about his domestic and long arm quilting experiene and preferences. He talked about the benefits, overlaps, and differences between edge to edge, custom, computerized designs, SITD, free motion, ruler work, special ruler feet, and using a walking foot. He talked about different battings, and gave us a resource for someone who had tested different battings for wear and tear, quilting distance, how they react to different types of quilting, and whatnot. The resource is Debbie Trevino's Ultimate Batting Guide at www.alderavenuequilting.com. We talked thread type, weight, and color. For the last part, we laid about twenty quilt tops different people had brought, and different ways they could be quilted, depending on their purpose, pattern, and skills (or checkbook) of the quilter.
Supper will be what ever Mom feeds me. Dan is on his own - he's visiting his friend this evening.
Today, I am working on my balloons for May block lotto.
Welcome back, Mary. Glad you enjoyed your travels.

Pam Your quilting class sounds like a lot of info to digest at once.Must have been a good one.
Think it will be black beans over bed of rice with spring onions on top. Becca
