Longarm knots and loops on top

Post by Klayne »

I have an older Nolting non stitch regulated longarm that I've had for a few years. It always sews fine and I have used the same brand of thread, needles and batting for years with it and it has always sewn great....until lately. :( I am at my wits end with it. I am getting knots and loops on top with some bad stitching and the occasional thread break. It's mostly just knots and loops on top. I have changed needles, thread, bobbin cases, bobbins, rethreaded, oiled, cleaned, sanded everything from start to finish. Please help....

I don't know about the Nolting, but could it be the upper tension has somehow got moved? You may want to check that as that is what the stitching appears to show.
