Guidance for the Journey
Numbers 9:15-23

We all struggle on occasion with the weight of making a big decision. Should we take this job or that one? Say yes or no to our children when it comes to certain activities? RElocate our family to a different location or stay put? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had a continual manifestation of God's presence to guide us like the cloud He provided for His children in the desert?

If you are at a place in your life where you feel as if you cant take one step without the Lord's help be glad. He has you where He wants you. If you are wondering, Hame I done something wrong? the answer is most likely that you have done something right. God has you on this path, regardless of how difficult and impossible it may seem right now because you are willing to follow Him. He wants to accomplish great things through you that can only come out of a life of faith. He wants your undivided attention because you cant do these things on your own. The path is not a punishment; it is a privilege. It is not a restriction it is a reward.

Hugs and prayers

This brought to mind one of my favorite hymns we sing.

Redeemer of Israel - there is a great youtube video of the MTC choir singing it.

Redeemer of Israel, our only delight
On whom for a blessing we call.
Our shadow by day, and our pillar by night,
Our King, our Deliverer, our All.

Many times in our early married life, Michael had to work graveyard shifts. Leaving me home alone. But each night before he left, we had family prayer together and knew that the Lord watched over me and our home with that pillar spoke of. That was and is a great comfort.
