Psalm 123
We can feel hopeless and despondent when we look only on the trends within society, so it is important that "our eyes look to the LORD our God" v2. We may be struggling financially, dealing with a health problem, or burdened by a friend or loved one who is not walking with the Lord. Our only option is to lift up our eyes to the Lord, recognize He has the power to deal with our personal issues as well as the problems in our world, knowing that He will be gracious to us. Just as the servant has no authority but must rely on his master to provide for his needs, so must we turn tot he Lord and trust Him. Our problems and the things of earth will diminish in significance when we behold His glory and grace!
