Supper club Sunday, June 18, Father's Day!

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jun 18, 2017 2:16 am

good morning! A quick note to all of our dads out there. Happy Father's Day to them all! Scotty is outside walking his dad right now

We are still on the Columbia River but will pick up and move on today. We have about 150 miles to go. We will park at our friends yard for two nights. I know hamburgers on the grill will be on the menu and there will be about 10 people there. I am not sure what else is on the menu tonight. Tomorrow night we are providing chicken on the grill and I know rice will be one of the sides.

Have a great day y'all!

Good afternoon from a warm, sunny, gorgeous Sw. Pa.....

Wanted to send a special wish to all the Fathers, Dads, Paps, Gramps, all those here or in Heaven....My Dad has been gone since 1954 and I often think, if he were here, he'd be so happy to see all these grand kids and greats and to see, so many have been named after him, lol...

Mary, know you are having a great time...I also did notice, you had posted you had packed up all your stash and taken it with you, darn!

Becca, I know you are in "company heaven"...You are blessed.....Enjoy your day....

Not much happening in this neck of the woods....I've had calls from all the boys saying they will be visiting Jim today, at one time or another...I've kind of decided, I'd wait until tomorrow....

I'm having a kind of sad day, along with wishing Jim was here...Just heard this morning, Jim's best friend passed away yesterday...He was his Notre Dame buddy, never sure which was the biggest fan, lol...But, he was the one who knew Joe Montana's parents and in turn started us on a long friendship with Joe...Lots of very good memories...

AND then I had a call from my sister telling me, a cousin who had (we thought) overcome cancer 5 years ago) is now in Hospice care...And that not being bad enough, her older sister was found dead in her bed yesterday morning....I have a feeling the funeral clothes are going to get a work out...Too much sadness!

My sister was making a turkey dinner today and asked me for dinner but I think I'm just staying home...Probably just leaving the house to take care of Dan's fur babies and that's it...Also kind of over did it yesterday (flower beds are looking good) so a day of nothing will be a good thing....

Not even thinking of dinner but I do have "stuff" if I get hungry...

You all have a great day................
