Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Feb 01, 2017 4:03 am

Good quick morning! No computer today so doing this quickly on my phone before we hit the road. Carol with an E-happy birthday to your baby. My baby number one will be 45 on Friday. Irish that is funny about the eagle menage a trois!

Dinner tonight is going to be a big chef salad. We will be in Yuma with my brother-in-law for tonight. 77° Is predicted for Yuma today.

Hope y'all stay warm and well fed!

Good morning :)
Mary, your chef salad sounds yummy!
My experiment last night was good but oh I hated the way the house smelled, I had to get the kitchen washed up ASAP! Some things just get to my nose after I cook it even though itsmelled really yummy while it was cooking. I've already got supper in the crock pot, red Chile meat and tamales in the fridge thawing. ... it's Mexican tonight. ... we're traveling the world this week LOL Monday was Italian, last night leaned towards Chinese so tonight is Mexican LOL

Good afternoon from not too shabby, semi dreary, slightly warmer, a little wet, SW. Pa....We did have rain over night but it looks like it's clearing up, which is fine with me.....Of course, I'd love to have that 77 that Yuma is getting......

I'm kind of doing a drive thru all, today....We're headed for Jim's appointment and depending on how long it takes, we might stop at JoAnns and right next door to that store is a Steak n Shake and we haven't been there for ages.....

Did have a call from Terry and he has another interview scheduled this Friday and said, it really sounds promising...And then he added, he had just received a nice promotion and said, now he feels bad because he might be leaving...But, if not, he does have a back up, so to speak.....

Well, off and running....Hopefully dinner will be on someone else and no cooking again today....Tomorrow might be new food......

Happy eating.................

Irish, sounds like a full day for you but fun on your last 2 stops :) I hope Terry gets a good job and glad he has a backup plan.
Kevin is liking his job and says he's pretty sure he'll be happy there :)
Dad just called, he had to take Mom back to the emergency room, she breath and the ER said her lung is full of fluid again. ... good thing they didn't go home and were still in the hospital parking lot.

Good afternoon! We’re back to the 40s today, but at least it’s sunny. The wind is chilly and not really pleasant. I’ll have to make a decision to walk or drive to see Ava…

Mary—your chef salads sound yummy! I might do that here for me with a side salad for DH with his steak and potatoes. Have a great visit! 77—NICE!!!

This morning I had my egg foo yung for brunch. I’m getting hooked. It’s not much different from an omelet, since I don’t make the “gravy”—just a splash of soy sauce.

Tina—sometimes the smell of pork cooking really turns me off. I don’t know what it is… not always, just sometimes… mainly pork roast. It really needs to be seasoned well to kill the smell for me. I’ll be there tonight for tamales!!! So glad about Kevin! Your poor dad and mom. Medicare doesn’t want to pay any more than they have to. One more night might have made a huge difference in when she would return for several nights. Hugs to you!!! It really would be nice if your dad could talk the hospitalist into releasing her to a rehab where she would be required to do breathing treatments and walking.

Irish—hope everything goes well today. Sounds like the weather didn’t dump on you like the forecast predicted. Oh, I haven’t had Steak ‘n Shake in probably 20 years! I remember they were good. It was on the far end of Joplin, and I lived way north. Best wishes to Terry… and to you in his decision!!!

Chef salad for me… I’m pretty sure I’m locked into it; steak, potatoes and salad for DH…

Bon Appetit!

Good afternoon!

I went shopping on Monday and planned Chef Salads for tonight too - must be something in the air!

I have made a huge dent in my list of have to do's today - 2 more loads of laundry left - kitchen is done and I am starting on the inventory of the pantry and re-organizing the freezer down here in the Batt Cave. Even got the bedding changed and washed from the Master Bedroom. That wasn't on the list.

Tina - so sorry about mom - but at the same time, glad that they were still in the parking lot!

Irish -that stop after Jo Ann's sounds yummy. So happy to hear that Terry has another interview - hope that it works out, but the back up plan sounds good too!

Chickie - I love tamales - especially Red's or Garabaldi - you should know them both from California - but alas they no longer are in business and can't get them here. They were made with polenta as the holder for the filling, not masa - so moist and nice - I think that this summer, I will try my hand at some homemade ones here.

Mary - be safe and enjoy that warm - unfair - weather! Drive safe!

Time to start that inventory and change the laundry -

Enjoy,
Jana
