This promise, made to David, is one of many such promises in the Bible. Again and again, God assures His people that He will be with them. We can make these promises our own.

In my daily devotion today this poem was given:

There's More

We only see a little of the ocean,
A few miles from the rocky shore:
But, oh! out there beyond the horizon,
There's more--there's more.

We only see a little of God's loving,
A few rich treasures from His mighty store,

That scripture is such a missionary blessing. Those missionaries go out to serve, knock on many doors, only to find so many are not interested. They get very discouraged. But in reading the scripture from the KJV, you can see the blessing. One phrase jumps out - do It! That is so simple, yet we make it hard. So just Do It!
