SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Dec 29th
Good morning!
We are going to be windy today and 20* cooler with humidity only 38%. Nice! Yesterday was clean and re-organize day. When you live in an RV, it seems these days come around weekly. Took down all the Christmas stuff and have it all packed away now, ready for home. Got all my sewing moved forward and in small totes, project by project, and in order to be sewed. Unless I change my mind - which is pretty likely! Today I hope to do some sewing. I finished the TW so now I've got fabrics pulled to make some blocks for January lotto.
IRISH - amazing what we can do with the house and ourselves when we get a 'red alert'! My mom said the best way to get the house cleaned was to call the doctor to make a housecall (back in the day) and then cancel him just in time. House would be sparkling in the blink of an eye! So did your washer come yesterday or is it next Wednesday?
CHICKIE - all I have to say is I'm glad I'M not the one that needs to help with math! Talk about a lost cause! Do you and Tasha have a particular project in mind to work on?
Yesterday I put a chili relleno casserole into the crockpot. It turned out to be quite good! Usually I put it in the oven. Tonite I think we'll have the leftovers warmed up along with some leftover scalloped potatoes and a salad.
What's the supper story at your house?

Good afternoon from a dreary, kind of chilly, kind of windy, kind of "not so nice" kind of day in SW. Pa....BUT, it's nice and toasty inside, especially under the covers, not mentioning any names, but it's those who are visiting, lol......
Mary, I'm thinking about taking down our decoration, what little I put up, plus the tree...Especially the tree, before the boys leave...Need a couple young strong fellows to haul it all back to the shed.....It's next week that the washer comes but I do think we'll survive....I'm thinking, I probably should gather up some of the clothes and wander on down yonder to the creek and find a stone but we'll see.....And, I did surprise myself as to how quick I could get us all looking "presentable" yesterday....It's kind of funny when us older people get together, the topic of conversation is always who of the friends or relatives have died or in a nursing homes....And of course, you always have to hear about the newest ailments or replacements, lol....We do lead such an exciting life, don't we?
I'm not going to stay and chat, Jim is in the tub and my need rescued....Our dinner last night was delish and have enough mashed spuds left over for potato cakes for lunch and a smidgen of the roast for veggie soup.....
For our dinner tonight, Nick is making his famous pizza....I am constantly amazed at his talents and not only his cooking.....He told me, he's been accepted to a couple of colleges in N. Carolina but just hasn't decided which one gets him, lol.....Can't believe these boys are growing up so fast.....
Hope you all have a great day......
Happy eating.............
Nothing new on the eagles, still pacing.......

Hi Everyone!
I think I have been forgetting to post.
Tonight's dinner will be pasta and turkey sauce. Hopefully I will also make a salad and garlic toast.
I finally feel rested from the Christmas Parties. My DH and I don't go to any parties then on Christmas Eve we go to one and Christmas Morning another one. We both had a good time but we were tired.
I have been thinking of putting away some of the decorations, but not the tree. I really am enjoying the tree.
Maryz - I too am glad to hear you did not get the new position. It sounded too far away from where you have such a great time and it tied you down too much.
Sorry to hear your brother has a stent. They are not any fun for a woman, I am not sure how a man tolerates it.
Irish - Yes, do take the tree down before you lose your helpers. Enjoy the pizza. I wish I had a Nick to come help me cook!
Have a great day!
Carol

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Dec 29th
Good afternoon! I’m late! I’m late! Tasha and I went to town today. I upgraded my and DH’s phones. I got the new one, and mine moved down to him. If he breaks this one three days after I gave him my last smart phone… back to the flip phone for him! I think he’s hooked on the smart phone and has learned a lesson in care after using a cracked screen for almost 2 years!
The Hooligans went with us and were happy to get treats all along the way. We stopped and visited with Mom for awhile before her nap, went to the bank, the phone store, the grocery store and to see Ava.
Irish—I always like potato cakes! Grandma made them for us using leftover mashed potatoes. Tis the season for broken washers! I’ve heard of several including my niece. Her refrigerator, washer and dryer went out in the space of one and a half weeks. Oh, you are so lucky to have Nick! Give him a big hug! Ha, ha! I hear ya with the “conversation”.
Carol—it’s sure tiring to be party animals! DS1 has an annual new year’s eve party, and we’ll go, but I have a feeling DH won’t survive all evening.
Mary—I really like your chiles relleños casserole! I’m going to try to do some January lotto blocks. I didn’t get mine done for December. Too much other projects undone as it was.
I’ve almost decided that my problems are allergies. I’d quit taking the daily Claratin (generic) because it was winter. That’s when I started getting the crud. I went back on the Claratin the last couple of days, and I feel so much better. I did have a severe headache last evening, but it also felt like allergies.
Tasha and I didn’t have any projects—just hanging out together and playing with the dogs who are loving every minute of attention. We had a busy day yesterday and today, and she goes home tomorrow. It was a too short visit!
Dinner tonight… Mary doesn’t want to know… the 4-letter word from the sea, tater tots, corn, and a salad. Tasha requests the ****. Guess I should get busy…
Bon appétit!

Good evening quickie!
We are trying out a new white chicken chili recipe - we will see...
Irish - you eagles have made my nightly news - but the newscasters were wondering what happened to Ozzie and why are they calling the new one eagle M15 - well I was yelling at the TV telling them the whole story, but do they listen to me! Nope! I knew the rest of the story from you! thanks!
Got to run and get started
