daily devotion 10/21

I looked at a lot of verses this morning and this one spoke the loudest:) I loved the first line "Peace is not the absence of trouble". Have you heard there is always a lull before the storm; there is always a moment of peace before chaos!

I fear for our country. There is so much going on in it right now both political and social. You can not turn on the TV without seeing or hearing about all the unrest out there. We really need to be in prayer not only for our leaders but our country as a whole. It is getting farther and farther from God. The Bible talks of the end times and I see and hear more and more about all that we are warned about coming to the surface. I hoped I nor my children would ever have to face a war or all the heartache, but it seems the inevitable may be that we will have to suffer for our LORD Jesus.

Pray for our country, pray for countries around us, pray for peace.

Hugs Prayers and God Bless

Izzy ,I have been very concerned about our Country for some time.God is the answer for Peace. But our Country has shut God out.I pray People will be convicted to call on his name again.

These are comforting words.God is the giver of perfect peace.I too fear for what may lie ahead for our little ones & our children.May we all feel his love around us today. Becca

I thought of one my favorite hymns - the chorus-

Fear not, though the enemy deride,
Courage, for the Lord is on our side
We will heed not what the wicked may say,
For the Lord, alone we will obey.

These times will be tough, but there are more righteous out there that will stand up and be heard from. Peace does come through righteous living.
