SUPPER CLUB - Wed, July 27
Good Morning!
I had a wonderful, albeit short, visit with Autumn. We got caught up on our lives over a jigsaw puzzle that she brought me - a Charles Wysocki painting of an exhausted black/white cat curled around a Featherweight in a very messed up sewing room. Does my DD know me or what??!
This morning Bill and I are going to a psych evaluation meeting for our neighbor, Vicki, who has been in a care facility for the past 2 weeks - after an 8-day stay in the hospital. Not looking forward to this, but she requested we be there and her family hopes we can help. I doubt that, but we'll try. Vicky requested this evaluation in an attempt to prove she's completely sane. but the reality is she isn't in her right mind. Her Huntington's is getting bad and she refuses all meds because she won't let "those people put those toxins her her body." should be a fun day.
CHICKIE - oh, the poor armadillo!! I suppose you're not going to tell me that he went home after his 'playdate' with your hooligans, are you. Sigh. You and your DGD have had some good times! and sounds like Doyle is reaping the benefits!
BECCA - I can barely move when it's so hot. I hope you get some relief soon! Is the DGS who lives near "George & Martha Eagle" the one here in Hoodsport? We also have towns next to each other in central WA named George and Martha.
JANA - Bill had not herd about the Polaris problems. He researched it and it's only two 2015 models. We're in the clear. Ours is a 2009. Thanks for the heads up. Hope your drapes don't cost an arm and a leg and a firstborn!
I don't know if you saw chriss's post but Tina's mom is back in the hospital and undergoing a surgical procedure. I have no details yet, but she's asking for prayers.
This morning I hope to get some more blackberries on my walk. So far I have 4 batches of jam and 1 pkg of berries for the freezer. I'd like 2 more freezer packages (6 c. each), but I think the berries are on the wane now. and I have to share with my walking buddy, too. Fortunately, she doesn't want many.
Our homemade pizza was loaded last night and it was a whole wheat crust as I'm out of regular flour so it was very filling. We still have half of it left for tonite. Unless Bill gets into it for lunch. In that case, he's going to get eggs and fried potatoes for supper!
Got a menu idea for yourself - or for the rest of us! - for tonite?

Well, we've had a blast, but the visit comes to an end this afternoon. She and I are stopping by to see Mom on our way to take Tasha home.
Best leave the armadillo in his own Valhalla.
Dinner tonight will be some leftovers when I return unless you-know-who raids the refrigerator before I return.
Enjoy!

Good morning!
Mary - glad that your UTV is out of the problems. There have been so many accidental fires with them here in Utah. My mom did the same thing with the psych evaluation. We all knew better. She even got to the point of telling anyone that would listen, that the care facility was putting ground glass in her food to kill her off. It is so sad to to see things like that.
Prayers for Tina's family - praying that all will go well.
Dinner - humm - the kids have been asking for banned cassarole, so I will do that for them. Leftovers become their lunches.
Enjoy!

Good afternoon from warm and right now, semi sunny....
Mary, As long as you got to spend quality time with Autumn, it doesn't matter how long the visit is...I loved the picture you posted on FB, gorgeous ladies!
So sorry to hear Tina's Mom is having more problems....Tina really does have her hands full.....
Becca, How's your day going? Did you get your walk in this morning? I have watched the eagle nest in the Washington area...They fledged 2 eaglets this season...I'm still in awe of these magnificent birds....
Not much happening around this household, thank goodness...The fur kids were starting to give us the evil eye because of the lack of their "choice" food so Jim and I went to Walmart...The only one that doesn't complain is the feral and he is so appreciative...He greets me at the door, talking up a srorm and doesn't stop until I come back inside...
Other than the Walmart trip, that's it for the day....If Jim takes a nap, I'll be able to sew, still trying to get those pants hemmed.....I finally talked to our contractor and he'll be coming over the weekend to check over my list of projects...And I believe Terry will be coming this weekend also so, I really have something to look forward to....
As far as dinner, once again, what ever I can get Jim to eat...So far today, he's had 1 Ensure and 1/2 of a small fruit cup...For someone who almost lived on sweets, I couldn't even tempt him with banana/nut muffins....He does like mashed or baked potatoes but a person can't live on potatoes...Yesterday, he decided to take a nap around 3:30 and from 5:00 on, I tried to get him to come downstairs...I went to bed about 11:00 and he slept until 6:30 this morning... So we'll see what the afternoon holds.......
Happy eating....................

Hello everyone,In 90s here today.
Maryz It was DGS that lives in Hoodsport. He walks to work & they are making the noises then.So happy you got to visit with Autumn. And what a neat present.
Mary DH is having a colonoscopy & endoscopy in outpatient. With all his issues they won't do it in office. And I am not looking forward to it due to all that is wrong with him.
All your Berry's sound wonderful.
Sad about your friend.
Irish I have missed my walk for 2 days due to early appts.Dont like to miss & it is sure too hot in the day.We had Bwork yesterday & hair cuts, errands & lunch out today.Tomorrow he goes for his registration for Hospital on Monday. So much excitement.lol Glad it was a calmer day for you.
Tina Prayers for Mom & all of you that all goes well.
Chickie Know you will miss Tasaha.Glad she gets to come.Special times.Hope you find Mom doing well.
Jana stay cool.Is your celebration still going on?
We ate out after hair cuts. Then got groceries so that is out of the way.He had BBQ & was disappointed in it.They have changed the way it is cooked.I had a smoked turkey sandwich which was tasty. So it will be lite here.Always have ice cream. Becca
