SUPPER CLUB - Monday, July 18th
Good Morning,
Today is my late hubby's birthday. So hard too picture him at 65! He's still a 16 yr old kid with pimples in my mind's eye. It's a melancholy day for my kids and me, though we try to be positive and celebrate in her hearts that he was born and gave us all so much love and happiness while he was here. And after all, I have Bill to think about whose birthday is in two days. I think I have his gift all settled - a step to attach to the back of the pick-up so he can get into it more easily. And a couple of new ammo cans. Can never have enough ammo cans! lol!
CHICKIE - I'll let Albert know you are up for sharing your berries and give him your address. Good luck to him finding you, though! haha!!
CAROL - Maybe you can milk that wrist a few more days. A little extra training can never hurt a hubby! ;o) Your dinner sounded so good! You must be an extraordinary cook. Bill won't cook a pork roast without using your brine recipe on it first.
BECCA - What a positive spin you put on life - being thankful for the blessings you do have rather than resenting what you don't. wish we were all more like that!
Our friends are leaving this morning, but not until after 9am. So Bill and I will do our regular morning stuff - gym and walking. then today will be berries (hopefully), laundry, and sewing for me. he's on his own. As for supper? We have baked beans. I might brown some burger and add it to them and make a salad, and some cottage cheese.
Hope you all find something tasty in your kitchen!

Hello everyone, sunny day here but we did get rain last nite.1/10 but I was happy to hear it.
Maryz Your life has had trials along the way but you sure keep a positive attitude & I am sure that has helped you & your kids.May you find peace knowing you had him for a while.Hugs to you.
Carol You do have good menus ,not like ours.I used to be a good cook but oh when he only wants dessert Its hard to cook for him.And we eat different. Oh well we survive.lol
Chickie Know you are busy with Mom this week I think.
Irish Hope your & Jims day goes well.
I have to get some more fabric for the baby quilt.I want another color to add.It is mostly pinks, lavenders & off white & hoping for one to add.
Have Hamburger thawing so DH gets that. Will add veggies for me. Becca

Good morning from a sort of wet but getting brighter, SW. Pa...1st we had sun, then the clouds rolled in and we had rain and some thunder and now the sun is trying to find it's way back.....
Mary, There's a special place in our hearts for all those memories, no matter how many years they've been gone...Hopefully today's memories are good ones...And as you said, you have Bill and his birthday...And you reminded me, my DBIL's day is tomorrow and me without a card.....
Becca, you really do have the right out look on things....Quite an inspiration my friend.....
Carol, I agree with Mary about the training part...I'm sure you need a few more days.....
No berries around here...Used to be but with us clearing the property and of course the birds, I would get only a handful.....Makes me think of, when growing up, we picked elderberries and my Mom would make pies and jelly...Now that's a good memory, even with all the scratches and bites while picking....
Yesterday wasn't a good day...Jim was so restless and lost...At one point he even had himself locked in the bathroom and I'm outside trying to get him to open the screen on the window...I was just about ready to get a ladder and crawl through and he opened the door....When I think back, it was kind of funny (in a sad way)....Just Frick and Frack at it again.....But, today will be better, I'm sure......
But, so far, not sure just what we're going to be doing...Later, I need to pick up a couple RX and maybe a ride get some fresh corn.....
For dinner, something on the grill and hopefully some corn...I did make the banana/nut bread so we'll have that for afters.....
Happy eating................

Good morning,
Will be happy tomorrow. DH has his dental appointment and hopefully they will fix the pain that he still has. Dinner is still a hodge podge of food. Soft for him and me - my favorites that he hates.
Working on packing up the books and pictures in the great room. Ethan is my helper, but right now he is distracted by Adam 12 TV show with Grandpa.
Enjoy,
Jana
