Hi Everyone,
Tonight's dinner will be roasted Chicken breast, potato salad, roasted beets and salad.
The Grand Canyon was beautiful. The Star Party was good. We saw Jupiter, Saturn and Mars as well as a Globular and Binary. We only went one evening because the next two nights had clouds! Good thing we went the first night.
I am getting ready to host my small sewing group on Tuesday, so have a cake in the oven right now. I think I will freeze it. I want to make the frosting tomorrow then put the frosting on Tuesday morning.
The final day of work the teachers gave me a cake and message. I was very touched.
What is on your table tonight?
Carol

Carol... good to see you! The starry night event would be neat! I used to know more about the night sky... my dad took me out in the yard and pointed out stars and constellations and showed me his ships' navagation system using his sextant. I had a book of constellations and the stories behind them. That was probably 65 years ago!
Dinner here tonight is some leftover chicken fried steak, gravy, salad, blackberry pie and an artichoke for me.
It is sure quiet without DGD. She went home yesterday and is going to church camp tomorrow. I am going to try to get back to some of my sewing projects this week. We inked fabrics last week and did a lot of cooking. I also played soccer most afternoons with her. I went after a stray ball and took my bone density exam on my Kim Kardashian anatomy and the back of my head. I passed--nothing broken. That was unlike DGS who broke his tibia playing basketball the last day of school. He didn't realize it and was playing basketball at a scout campus and injured his leg. He came home early on Friday eve. When he went to the doctor on Monday, the x-rays showed several fractures. ...talk about an ironman!!! Can you imagine running around on a broken leg for well over a week and not realizing it! Something is always happening with kids!
