We'll be on the road in a couple of hours. the cats are already packed. They travel fairly well. But I think they'd rather not. But I need my cats with me. This way, if there's an emeregency, I have a cat handy!
IRISH - I hope Jim's appetite improves. Seems kind of odd that he is gaining weight when he's not eating much. Does he need to gain weight? Has Terry started casting around for a job yet, so he can get ready to make his move in a year? Isn't he a teacher?
TINA - so did you remember what you wanted to day? lol! It's only going to happen more often from here on out. Do you ever go into a room to get something, only to forget what it was and you have to go back to where you started to try to remember? That's coming, too. how far away from you is the property your parents are buying?
JANA - I hear you on the cooking thing with others in the house. When my brothers and sisters were here last February, I felt like I never left the kitchen! I had a full meal on the table every night. Of course, after a week, my oldest brother, Gene, left to go back to Alaska and my two sisters stayed another week. They looked at me and said, "we're not going to eat any more good dinners, are we?" haha!! They had that right! I fed them leftovers!
BECCA - sorry about the tennis elbow. I've had it a few times. The first time, it went on for about 14 months. Dr said just wear the brace and in time it will go away. The second time, I was telling my massage therapist about it and he fixed it! Just a few simple manipulations and within a week it was gone! He also cured my plantar fascitis a few years ago, another painful condition that goes on for months.
CHICKIE - I know you will be busy with Nat for the week! What fun you two will have!
We only have a few things on the list this morning and we will hit the road. Our first stop though, it the Trains Fabric Shop in Tacoma. today is the first day of their big 40% off sale. Most of her fabric is $7 to $10/yard, regular price. She buys end of season fabric, leftovers, blenders, etc. So she doesnt' have much up-to-the-minute latest fabrics, which is fine with me because I don't care for a lot of those. And she has little overhead because her building is paid for and she lives in an apartment over the shop. So she says this is how she keeps her prices down. so when she has a sale, it's worth stocking up! And I have a gift certificate . .

Then we'll head east over Snoqualmie Pass. Not sure where we'll be spending our first night. Whereever we get tired, I guess. We just need to be in Richfield, UTAH by Friday to meet up with my sister. And my brother, Jim (he's doing so well!) who is visiting their DD in Las Vegas, will meet us there, too, for one night on their way to visit their son in SE Utah.
And just in case you are wondering since we are a supper club - the menus for the six nights we'll be with family include turkey breast, tacos, and hamburgers. (me) and my sis will be making pork roast, spaghetti, and red beans/rice/kielbasa. We plan to use our crockpots a lot since we'll be tired after a day of riding our ATV's. Nice to come home to a hot, cooked supper!
I may/may not have internet, so I might pop in here and there. JANA, I'm not sure if we'll have time to swing by your place on our way north again. If we do, we'll call, but it will be spur of the moment. When you travel with others, you never know what's going to happen. But if we do, please don't cook us a big meal, yummy as they are. You have enough cooking going on right now! We'll just say hi and inspect all the new changes you've made, and have some cake. There WILL be cake, right? lol!
See you all 'down the road'!
