SUPPER CLUB - Fri, May 6th
Good Morning!
This is gonna be quick. I have lots to do this morning including, but not limited to, shower, walk 2 miles with neighbor, finish May lotto blocks, clean kitchen, plan dinner, and leave the house again by 10:45am. We have a reserved table at Olympic College in Bremerton where my grandson, Alec, is chef of the day as part of his culinary training. He had to plan the menu and make the foods - with help from rest of class. Every student chose or was assigned a country so today we will be eating Polish food for lunch. Alec's parents will be there with us, too. I'm looking forward to it.
So - not being sure what we will be eating, supper tonite will be leftovers or something quick here. We have burgers and homemade buns in the freezer so there will be no starving.
Sorry to pop in/out but there is lots claiming my time this morning.

Good morning from a chilly but so far sunny, SW. Pa...We had a terrible storm yesterday with lots and lots of hail...My flower beds were full of white stuff, yuck! So far, I haven't found any damage but it was a doosie!
Mary, you really do have a whirlwind day planned, don't you? But, how neat to have "the Chef" take care of you today....Polish food sounds great to me....Will be anxious to hear what you had to eat...
I, too am running but not to a lunch (unless I get a call)..I have an appointment with an attorney to go over wills and all that good stuff...Not really looking forward to it but has to be done....And, I think breakfast might be here this Sunday so that means, "clean up this mess" along with laundry.....I've decided on a Double Irish Chain for Cari's quilt and decided to embroider shamrocks on all the white squares and am doing them before I sew the rows together...Makes it much easier to handle...This is my favorite pattern but does take time.............
For our dinner, there is a smidgen of chicken ala king left and then on to new food.....Still have ice cream and cookies for afters....Do have 1 snow ball left but I promised Terry I'd save it for him...I have a feeling I'm going to weaken, eat it and have to make another trip to the store before he gets here.....I can't help it if I have no will power!
Happy eating.................

Good morning,
Thought I had the day off, nope, Ethan just arrived. My hungry termite finished off the cereal and had a bath and now is watching some cartoons. Guess I will take him along on my errands. While he had his bath in my big garden tub, I scrubbed the hard water spots off my shower glass. Still needs more work.
Mary - polish food - yum! And by your own personal chef!
Irish - we need to do our wills and trust set up here - one of these days. I have a very large aversion to doing that. I think I will jinx me! LOL We will do it shortly.
Becca - hope they close quickly so they can paint before moving in. Otherwise, put everything in the garage!
Dinner, well there is a little bit of anything and everything in the freezer. Cold, rainy, thundering and a bit of lightning too. Maybe a simple banned noodle cassarole.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon!
Mary—lunch sounds delightful! Have fun!!!
Becca—so glad to hear the house hunting was successful!
Irish—I’m having the whole bunch here Sunday for brunch. I’m cleaning house today. Your Irish chain will be beautiful—love the shamrocks added to the solid blocks! Your “snowball” makes me happy remembering those—haven’t seen them in ages! We used to peel the “skin” off and eat it last… savoring every bite!
We had our Cinco de Mayo last night. I made Mary’s chiles relleños casserole to go with the rest of the poblano peppers. Salad and all the condiments went with it. Tonight there is reruns of the casserole, a steak for DH, and some salad for me.
Back to house cleaning… but first the Hooligans and I will walk down to see Ava and play with her for awhile... Have I mentioned I hate housework and will do ANYTHING to avoid it...

HOW WONDERFUL! YOU MUST LET US KNOW WHAT THE MENU WAS from Chef Alec. My grandson, 19, is an Alec also.
Are you getting smoke from Canada fire? What a horrible disaster!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Good Evening Everyone!
I just put a Stuffed Pepper Casserole into the oven. It had been in the freezer.
My DH and I just set up our trust and wills. My family learned an important lesson when Mom died. She thought she had the trust complete, but the lawyer never put her house in the trust, so we had to go to court. Our accountant says it is very common. You need to make sure your property is in the trust!
Maryz - Hope you enjoyed your lunch today!
Jana - Hope you did not have too many errands!
Irish - Sorry you have to re-do the will, but do read my note above.
Jana - Do you need to change the trust because you moved or doesn't it get transferred somehow?
Chickie - I bet your house is sparkling by now!
Becca - Glad you got the freezer cleaned in time for the Strawberry Jam!!
Helen - Hello to you too!
Carol
