SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Oct 2nd
Good morning!
It feels so good to be able to sit here with you all! But I had to get up at 0330 to get enough time to myself to actually read through the forum! I'll be nodding off at 7pm tonite, but that's OK.
LADY CAROL - I like mysteries like you. If someone doesn't get bumped off in the course of the story, then it's not worth reading! lol!
CHICKIE - I've got a pretty clear mental picture of you and your three escorts tooling down the highway in your pick-up, windows down, ears flapping in the breeze! (the dogs', not yours!)
TINA - sorry nothing inspired you yesterday and you had to resort to CATFOOD!
IRISH - poor Jim. Is he in much pain from his 'prodedures'? And poor Ozzie! I was rooting for him!
JANA - I love changing things around. I do in in my RV kitchen all the time. I have my home kitchen pretty well squared away after 30 years in this house.
Tonite, we are invited, along with my sister and BIL, to my brother's house just 2 miles down the road. And my sweet sister volunteered me to make cornbread. Bless her heart! We're told the menu will be chili. I'm just happy to not be having to cook a big meal myself tonite!
Hope there's something tasty in your immediate suppertime future!

Good morning--
Mary--the windows aren't rolled down very far. Tinker Bell will jump out if she sees a squirrel... don't want that happening at 65mph! But they are CUTE sitting in the seats they have chosen. Some ladies came in the quilt shop laughing at the little truck full of dogs outside the shop. I'll bet you ARE happy at not having to cook a big meal by yourself!
I'm thinking here the meal will be the PNW pink treat grilled in the grill pan, accompanied by broccoli, salad and baked sweet potato. We haven't had "the treat" in ages, and I'm DUE! I really need to make a dessert, but DH really needs to cut back... Wonder if I can convince him an orange is dessert...
Enjoy!

Good morning,
Mary - I was awake at 3:30 too - thunder rolling through the mountains, but I just grabbed the blanket and went back to sleep! Busy is the word at your house! No cooking is good too.
Chickie - your traveling companions sound full of fun! Love your dinner.
Now, I don't follow certain religious beliefs on Banned Food Fridays, but we are eating banned as well. With the cold, gray, rainy day here, that delicious white soup from New England with be dinner here. I will add some cheddar biscuits as well. They are from Red Lobster Restaurant, and come as a mix in a box. You just add cheese and bake.
Enjoy,
Jana

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Oct 2nd
Good afternoon from, once again, chilly, dreary, stay inside, SW.Pa....We are having some breezes thru the trees and boy are the leaves flying.....But a good day to get some uglies done.....
Chickie, You do paint a good picture with your truck full....All the talk about your new fur baby has me dreaming about dogs....We were trying to board a plane and our little dog wouldn't stay in it's carrier...And our neighbor was there with her 2 dogs....I woke up on the floor on the other side of the bed, looking under the bed with Jim saying, "I didn't know we had a dog".... I said in my dream we do.....
Mary, how nice to be volunteered to bake...When are you going to slow down...One of these days you're going to meet yourself either coming or going.....You accomplish more in one hour than I do in a week.....
Most of the uglies are done and Jim is in his favorite recliner...Needs to rest up for the Pirate game....Really haven't to much about dinner....Kind of hard when you're having lunch,lol.....
But do have pot of veggie soup simmering on the stove that might make it to the table tonight, unless I get a better offer.....
Happy eating
