SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Sept 22nd

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Sep 22, 2015 4:03 am

Good Morning!

A real fall morning this morning! And dark!

TINA - sure wish your mom's Cruces docs could talk one on one with the surgeon.

IRISH - I wish you could keep Bobbin for me, too. It finally dawned on Bill - THREE cats! He was still hadn't gotten past just envisioning the litter box and cat hair in his brand new truck! lol!!

JANA - As if I don't have enough things to age me faster and faster, I fell in love with football three years ago. I can't even do handwork during games because I'm afraid I'll miss something. I'm sure my LDH#1, Michael, is shaking his head in heaven.

BECCA - is your hubby feeling any better today?

CHICKIE - if you make more lemon bars tomorrow morning, and then watch the skies for a Delta jet, then stand out in the pasture and give them a big toss, maybe I can grab them up!

LADY CAROL - I think I might find another place in Spain to vacation. lol! Weren't you working on a Falling Charms quilt some time back?

Well, I did a silly, silly thing. A spot in the cat swap just opened up because someone dropped out. And someone didn't gag me fast enough before I said I'd make a second set. I mean the cat swap was my idea to begin with and I have 3 books full of nothing but cat patterns. So I figured I should do it - right? I will have hours and hours to do handwork on them. IF I can get them traced, cut, and fused TODAY. I can blanket stitch around them on the plane and in the truck as we travel. Sometimes it's a real headache to deal with being me! lol!

So supper tonite will be FAST - probably pesto pasta, my quick go-to meal for busy days!

I'll be gone for a week now, so hopefully someone will get up early and get the kettle on!

Ha, ha, Mary! I usually try NOT to toss my cookies!!! I briefly considered the cat swap, then my saner mind took over. I'd love to do it, but I'm so far behind... No way!!! But... for just a minute...

Tasha made a Falling Charms quilt when she was here last summer. The pattern is a MSQC tutorial.

We have had a most adorable little stray dog here... beagle/rat terrier and totally friendly and cute. I fell in love, but there is no way I can have three dogs... one of which is a huge, shedding bag of love. I wish he would go back home, but the neighbor said he didn't want him since he came over here. Geez! Hopefully we can find his owners.

Dinner tonight... leftovers... some that Mary doesn't want to know about that were delicious, and other yummy "turf" treats (NOT road apples!!!).

Have a great trip!!!

Good afternoon from a very sunny, but still not warm enough for me, SW. Pa...But, we are to get warmer so I'll be happy, for awhile....And why I complain is beyond me, I don't have to leave the house if I don't want too......

Mary, You know, there are times when everyone has a weak moment, you with the cat blocks and hoping Bill with Bobbin...And there's Chickie with the stray dog...See, it happens to all of us...
I'm like you when it comes to watching the games...I always have good intentions but then end up sitting there glued to the TV...And I just saw, Survivor is starting again on Wed. and that's even worse but I'm so excited...(talk about having a warped mind).....

Chickie, laughed at you "tossing your cookies", good one! And you know, with our leader being away, you'll be safe with your "pond fruit".....I feel bad for your stray and sure hope you find the owners....

My lunch yesterday was fun...My sister had a call to pick up her DGGD and couldn't stay and I was kind of stuck with the other 2 sisters...They have firm political beliefs which are opposite of mine and in the past I made sure they knew I don't talk politics or religion and don't open any political e-mails....Just had to gently re-enforce it...But, we sat for 3 hours and the gab did fly....
Today, Jim has already been to see the family doc and then we had a call, he's to go back to the "slice and dicer" in the morning for a "bigger bandage"...The spot they had removed last week proved to be more cancer...It's just a way of life for him.....

I did get 2 more cat blocks done and now I think we're going to do some yard work....
As far as dinner, I'm thinking, swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and a veggie..Jim will complain that it's too much but he does love mashed spuds.....With all that, we don't need afters.......

Happy eating......................

Good morning!

I guess that all I had to do is get the car ready for winter and poof - summer is back! LOL
We are close to 90 today . So beautiful! Grilling weather. I have some brats that willget grilled and add caramelized onions and a salad. Ice cream may be afters, but wait, I have some boysenberry pie filling and a white cake mix - voila a dump cake is born!

Enjoy,
Jana

Good Evening All.....sunny....but needed a sweater.......

quick posting tonight......a telly programme awaits me shortly.....

Maryz.....you have good memory marbles....yes I did the "Falling Charms" about 18 months ago.....for a caravan friend.....love that pattern....it lends itself to muted colours.....probably looks good in brighter fabrics......but it "spoke" to me in the softies.....and it looked really good......my friend nearly didn't get it....

todays menu......still haven't had that "sunday Roast" it was Chicken yet again.....I really mustn't get out so much from the freezer.....Strawberry Trifle for afters....stocked up with them from the Aldi Freezer Isle......and the Tirimasu......

take care......Lady Carol

PS......have to keep signing in......does everyone else?

I have a feeling I will have a new little dog. He is just too adorable. He's little, so he can't eat much... (I hope)-- of course, more vet bills... I won't keep him and not take super good care of him. My animals become family. I've checked Craigslist for lost dogs... no one is looking for Boomer.

Dinner plans changed... I think we are going to run to town and eat pizza. I haven't had pizza in a very long time. I've cleaned house and really am not in a cooking or even a warming up mood.
