SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Nov 16th
It's warming up! We might break 50* today! But DH says if this Global Warming thing keeps up, he's going to have to buy a heavier coat!
TINA - your smokey chicken and zucchini dish sound yummy!
JANA - sounds like you went all fancy 'restauranty' with your homemade soup and bread bowls. YUM!
ABITA - a Quadruple P Warning!! You must really be chilly - for you, anyway!
CHICKIE - so sorry you bought tickets for us and then we weren't there. Blame Mary Q - it was HER snow that pushed us faster than we'd intended to go! At least you put them to good use! Love the down home thought of the dogs roaming under the tables sweeping the floor. you could sure count Scottie in!
BECCA has been sick lately. I hope she's up to coming back soon and at least talking food, if not eating it! Prayers for you, Becca!
We never ate our chicken last night. An impromptu happy hour with a lot of friends and a lot of snacks filled us up. So tonite - we're back to grilled chicken, dressing, and salad.

Good morning,
Soup morphed into stuffed baked potatoes last night. At least they told me before I made the bread.
Cleaned out the refrig yesterday, so I will have to cook tonight - what? is still in the freezer.
Enjoy,
Jana

Afternoon from cold, wintery, SW. Pa....What I had hoped would be back to normal isn't happening too fast....Between Jim and I, we're having our moments.....
Maryz, so happy you've gotten settled and enjoying all those friends...50 degrees, wow, that's a heat wave.....
I've really been thinking of Becca lately and wondering how she's doing....She's really had her share of problems but always sounds so cheerful....Be well soon, my friend......
Not much happening in my kitchen...Where we have our Sunday breakfast, has the best veggie soup, so I brought a quart home with me....That's going to be our dinner, not even sure if we'll have sandwiches or not....
Happy eating............

MaryZ--no problem with the tickets... it was all to help the school, and I usually get three anyway. It is your loss--the chicken is famous in these parts. I took one dinner to Mom last night and brought three home for us. My BIL was not going to be in town--went to help my sister pack up and come home from the craft show in Bartlesville.
The chicken was delicious. Since DH doesn't like white meat, but he will eat it in chicken salad, I think I'll make some chicken salad with the big breast pieces. A crumb or two found their way to the doggy bowls last evening. The "sharks" were circling as we ate. I am sure I've said that Odie's first stop when he goes to Mom's is under her kitchen table, then he hops on her bed for a nap while we visit.
50 degrees! What a heat wave!!! You wouldn't recognize this place with the snow blanket--only an inch. We had a ring neck duck on the pond earlier.
Irish--so glad you come here so we can hug you. Those "moments" will always be there, but hopefully the searing pain will lessen and the moments will turn into happy memories of better times. Your veggie soup will be perfect for a cold evening!
Becca--hope you are feeling better! Wish we could bring you some chicken soup! That's always good for what ails you.
MaryZ--enjoy your chicken! Happy hour sounds like a good time!
Jana--I'm going to have to cook when we are out of chicken.
Starting tomorrow I'll be shampooing carpets at the rental. I figure it will take me three days. I may go on a strike and bring home carryout after toiling all day.
Enjoy!

We're having leftovers tonight
Irish, (((((hugs)))))
I hope Becca is ok.
Chickie, your chicken sounds yummy.
Jana, and I had your soup in bread bowls all imagined
Mary, it's cold here too, we have the dreaded wind with the cool temps.
There was no roof fixin today but Missy got a bath and her feet trimmed so she has better traction hehehe. I also mapped out my Fall quilt and finished all the laundry, gotta go to WalMart in a little bit and get a few things and my RX. Hopefully I won't need to leave the house for the rest of the week
