Happy Hump Day Wednesday march 26,2014

Post by fabricgirl » Tue Mar 25, 2014 10:46 pm

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Hump Day today is training and my allergies are driving me crazy so I will try and do a few thing before I leave for work.

Last night we went to the Eye DR.s had our eyes checked and I got a mild script for glasses for the computer didn't need anything else and neither did my DH.

Today when I come home I want to try and watch Dallas I didn't see the new episode yet and while Im watching that my sewing room is calling me.

Everyone Have A Great Day and stay warm.
Prayers go out to all in need.
Lois

Good morning Lois and those who follow.
Woke up early to get hubby up for the last part of his prep. Guess who is back in bed? That is fine. In a little bit I am going out to my studio and piece the borders together for the braid quilt. I need to get it done by Friday morning. Better get myself in gear. My son is going through his first open season for health insurance. He is so frustrated. His employer is of no help at all. No paperwork to look at. They have one plan and it involves a spending account. I have no clue how to help him. If he stays on mine he will be with out health care for 4 months. My open season is in the fall. So we'll see how it works out. Have a wonderful day.

Good Cloudy Morning,,,,,

NO snow!!!! Not sure if we'll get any, it is snowing on the Cape. Had a nice evening with my sister. I had a salad with chicken. The movie Divergent was interesting but a little slow. Today I'm having a hair cut When I showed up yesterday I found I was there on the wrong day.
I'll continue working on the binding today.

Lois....sorry about those allergies. Congrats on good eye reports. I've worn glasses since 8th grade.

Suzette.....no matter how you look at it before or after the Obamacare picking it is difficult like a foreign language. Happy sewing.

Love & Prayers to all in need.....Kathy

Thank you for all your prayers & thoughts.

Good early Morning!

We are back in our own time zone! We've had 5 time adjustments in the last 2 months. The fur kids don't know when they are supposed to eat any more so they just beg all the time so they don't accidentally miss any meals! lol!

LOIS - Hope you get your "sew & show" after work tonite!

SUZ - I wish your DH luck! The health care thing is such a mess. But there are people he can call that will help him, but he has to search them out. And then there's the websites. . .

Today we are making a run for home. The Cascades look a bit nasty so we are spending an extra 50 miles and going along the Columbia to Portland and straight up I-5 through Olympia to avoid the mountains. 450 miles all totaled, but we should make it home in about 10 hours - just in time to join the rush hour commute. I'll make some lists as we roll today - grocery, chores, errands, visits, and appointments to make. And work on my little 1/4" hexies.

y'all have a sew-per day!

And I was slow and missed a few of you!

KATHY - will be saying some prayers for your DD. I know your mother's heart is aching to see her go through all this and not be able to help. I'm not a big movie fan myself, but DH has probably talked me into seeing NOAH when it comes out.

BECCA - I usually take two weeks every year after Christmas and go through the entire house, cleaning closets, drawers, cupboards, etc. At least one car load goes to the Goodwill. It's a good feeling.

Good Morning,,it is sunny here but that is as much spring as we get,,,,it is 10 and there is a dusting of snow everywhere, If the sun wasn't shining I would climb back in bed....

Ken is finally over his "bug". says he will go with me to the gym today, We shall see, I am dressed for the gym just need coffee. and my slimfast....I am getting used to it. it is hard not to eat for 2 meals out of the day,

I will work on the blocks today I am doing blocks 4 and 5, 5 has over 60 pieces and I need 4 of them so that will be the busiest one. I am trying to find sashing fabric here in the stash...

Joan posted this poem on facebook and I thought you all would like it

Label for you quilt

This quilt is made of cloth and thread
To place upon your little bed
It's not an heirloom just to keep
But to lay upon as you count sheep
Or perhaps the floors the perfect place
For a doll or teddy picnic place
This quilt can be anything you dream
From supermans cape, to the robe of a queen
Pretend its a raft adfrift at sea
Or just to cuddle up when you watch TV
So use it up and wear it out
I promise I wont yell or shout
Just tell me when its days are through
And I'll make another, just for you.

My oldest son has announced he is taking his wife to Hawaii for their 20th anniversary this fall..They are excited,,,the girls are 15 and 19 but will have me staying with them for the 8 days I will just stay from supper till the next morning to get them off on their day and cook for them. 19 works and goes to school but is the party girl so that is why gram will be there,,,also 15 year old needs help with driving, to sports and stuff. I don't get to see them much so this will be fun...

Well miss Kitty is done playing with her toys and is demanding to be fed,,,so off i go...Have a great day XXXOOo

Boring day, cloudy cold still ice on walk, just picturing the over flowing campsites and beaches filled with people making up for lost time. This summer..

Good morning,

the wind started up yesterday and we get these alerts on the computer.. mine just said it was going to be thunder storms in 30 minutes.. it just cracks me up that they can give you the time they think the first rain drop will fall...so far it's just cloudy and windy.

Judi, I told Jerry about your post yesterday and he didn't laugh but I sure did... it must be something they learn by being in the man club...

Kathy, I will keep Kim in my prayers... I really don't think that you could "fix it" if you were there... she has a mind of her own...sounds like she needs to be needed, can she volunteer at a kids hospital reading them stories, or an animal shelter? hugs to you..

Cindy, I wish DH's surgery would hurry up and get here too...I won't go to the pay to work day, they will work an hour then cry that it's too hot and eat.. hardly worth getting out a bucket and rags...glad to hear about DD's 18 months.. I pray it continues for years.

Maryq.. I will raise my water glass at noon on the 16th, but if we all yell at the same time do you think the earth will shake?

Velda, how fun to travel and meet new people..

Izzy, you get so many eggs, do you sell them?

Suzette, prayers for you... and for DH.. hope it gets straightened out..

Maryz.. happy home coming.. bet you'll be like horses smelling the water...

Judi, enjoy your grands..

for me it's work.. today we have a meeting but they aren't saying what it's about.. I think it's just a new incentive program.. but I hate when they try to be mysterious..

my son's step brother applied for a job where I work and they finally called him for an interview but he wasn't answering his phone.. well he had jury duty. I asked God to make him call because the kid just needs a break... and poof, the phone rang... he is off jury duty and interviews tomorrow...I love when God works...

hope God works for you today and that you reap the blessings.

Good morning! I’m on a quick in and out, then I should be back later…

I wanted to let you know I heard from VICKY last evening. She has so very much on her plate and covets your prayers for her and her family.

Judi—I like the label. Mom used to have one that was “It’s o.k if you sit on my quilt…” or something like that.

Later… Enjoy today!
