Morning all, still having computer problems, I think I have a rogue bug somewhere, been debugging but this site is the worst, keep getting loads of pop ups and it's making everything run really slow - even slower than dial up :( :(

Anyway, while I could get on I thought I stop in and say HI :) wishing you all well, prayers and love sent to you all.....miss you but hopefully will be back soon :)

Good morning girls. Coffee is ready for any who would like some. This morning has been a big procrastination morning. Really need to snap out of it. I still need to get dressed for work and ready to leave in 30 minutes.

I have started sewing the third of eight rows of blocks together on the DWR. I saw the one Izzy made for her son over in the photo contest. It is gorgeous.

I really need to get ready for work now. Everyone have a wonderful day. God bless each of you today.

Tree blocks finished, now to figure out the border blocks. I have decided not to applique on this quilt (wow that's a change for me) I love, love, love applique but it takes SO much time and this quilt is going to be nice without.

I made 6 diaper inserts last night, Tia is planning on coming today so I can give them to her. I think Shannon is coming too :-) A nice family day.

I do have a prayer request, I have had a tooth bothering me for a while. I called on Monday and they couldn't see me until tomorrow, but I am on the call in list. I am already stressed about it. I have a feeling this one is going to be bad, a tooth canal or some other major work needed.

I ordered some Harley Davidson sheets. I'm going to use the fabric in this new quilt. I also received the poster yesterday. It has a large eagle on it and the Harley Logo. So I guess I'm really going to make a Harley quilt. I need to get some orange and black fabric and work that in too. Fun and a challenge.

I hope you all have a great day,
Vicky

Good morning everyone.
One of our furbabies woke me up at 4am. It was hoping to sleep in a little bit since I am off. I do have to leave in about an hour and a half for my biopsy. Hopefully when I get done I will be in the mood to sew some on the pinwheel quilt. Have a great day. I will check back in later.

Good morning!

Lois - your greeting made me think of that hump day commercial. Have fun at the gym and all that comes after it.

Jules - hope you get your computer problems sorted so you can come and visit again.

Mary/Rose - I'll take some of that coffee - thanks! Happy work day to you.

Vicky - prayers being lifted for your tooth. Enjoy your family day. Can't wait to see the tree quilt.

Suzette - sorry you were awakened today. Good luck with your biopsy. I've had two because of calcifications - everything came out fine. Let us know how it went.

Maryz - praying for Autumn - I'm getting excited about this.

Miriam - sorry to hear about the hog barn. I bet your DH was not a happy camper. Glad it didn't spread.

We have the inspection today. If it turns out well, I guess I'm really going to have to start packing - ugh. I've been pretending it's not really happening. Have a lovely day! xoxo Sharona

Good morning... it's going to be a great day...

Maryz... I was late in seeing your prayer request for Autumn's eggs so I simply thanked God for taking care of it...when will Autumn get the results?

Cindyg.. your post cracked me up yesterday, I'm still smiling... glad Vicky came by, I don't know her but think of her once in a while... looking forward to seeing your logs...

Chickie, thankfully it was only the barn that burned.. it's amazing how many instruments there are...and a gal at work wants to give me a piano...wow huh?

Maryq.. when I took Mar clothes shopping she saw some uniforms and asked why they were like that.. she had no idea kids wore uniforms to school... it was kind of funny..what color will the bathroom be? is it a job from the job jar?

Tina, hope all goes well with the back and atty and doc... I keep you in my prayers...

O'Dorothy, I am excited about her playing the sax.. I won't let her quit..and I was really happy with the music teachers... neat that your doc came in with pretzels..sounds like a fun person...and I vote for laminate wood flooring and slippers... maybe pink fuzzy slippers???

Izzy, something how much love you can have for your kid even though they don't have the words to say it back.. you can communicate in other ways.. and with things being more habit you have to stick with a routine so all needs are met...she is very blessed to have you...

Lois, happy food shopping day...

Jules, hope that puter gets the bugs out...

MaryRose, thanks for the coffee, I just filled my cup... hope you have a great day.

Vicky.. I forgot who the Harley quilt is for... or is DH going to buy a new motorcycle???

Suzette, your appt will go just fine.. my DH woke me up this morning... I rolled over and turned my alarm clock off and he had to wake me up again...

Sharona, happy packing... what fun to be you right now..

lots going on here.....one gal got fired at work.. so her job will be opening up.. it's above me so I will go for it.. next week, while I am on vacation, I will be taking some computer classes so that I can look better on paper and qualify...

my dad and stepmom are traveling, they are in Canada and stopped at an insectarium.. they bought me a book on butterfly stories.. my grandma passed years ago and loved butterflies, and this book was about how after people die you are reminded of them by butterfly sightings... so, today as I was reading the book I saw a yellow butterfly, then as I was taking my sister shopping I saw another butterfly... it's a neat thing.

I plan to have a wonderful day, I hope you all do to...

Good Morning!

It's dark! It's raining! The birds are sleeping in - or have moved south. it's coming, people!

LOIS - I agree! My computer screen is 6" x 11". I can barely make out my e-mails so I'd never be watching a TV show.

JULES - nice to 'see' you! You know, the last few days, my internet has been really slow, too! DH said "talk to your tech." Ummm... I guess he forgot that he's my tech!

MARY R - I here, sipping my coffee with you! wishing you a good day at work.

VICKY - you've got lot going on. Prayers your tooth isn't in need of too much. I dreaded my root canal so much they gave me Halcion. I took one table when I got to the office for my appt. and then another when they sat me in the chair. The next thing I knew, they were waking me up to go home! Needless to say, you need a driver! Your quilt is going to be great, but don't forgot to applique a little pink Harley pig somewhere on the quilt!

SUZ - you are taking my prayers with you to your biopsy! Good luck! My sis has had 2 biopsies for calcifications and both were fine.

SHRONA - I love that Hump Day commercial! But can you hear how the idea sounded around the conference table when the ad guy came up with it! haha! I so hope the inspection goes well! So is your house on the market yet?

CHRISS - Aut says she'll find out Sept 5th if she's pregnant. Thanks for your prayers. We're pulling out all the stops for her! I love the butterfly story! I need to look into that some more.

It's been raining all night. DH and I were going to work in the back yard today, but we'll see what the weather does. You all know my rainy-day plan! lol!

Let us all be in high cotton today!

Happy Day to all of you. Good Luck with the biopsy, Suzette.
Hope your tooth ache doesn't cause you extra stress, Vicky. and good luck with the Harley Quilt. Should turn out pretty neat. You have some great ideas flowing.
Can't wait to see pictures of you tree quilt. Wow, you even worked on the diaper inserts, busy lady, you are!!!

Mary/Rosebud: I am having my coffee, too, but I'll bet your pot is empty by now, so I shall just get a refill from my own pot, LOL
Thanks anyway.

Chriss: I have to share another neat "memory" story. My mother-in-law was a huge fan of seeing wild life, but especially red cardinals. We all would buy her cute figurines, etc. In her end time, just months before she passed, she had a neighbor girl, about 12 hrs old, who would stop by after school for about 1/2 hour each day waiting for her folks to get home from work. They had quite a bonding, and the little girl was so broken up when my MIL passed. Just a few days after, the Mom was driving the little girl to meet her bus when two red cardinals were hoping and dancing together in the middle of the road in from on them. The little girl said " Look, Mom, I think that's a sign to me, from Beulah(MIL) that everything is going to be OK" The little girl felt a lot better after seeing those birds. It was really a special sign to her. I have always thought about that when I see a red cardinal now as well.

Your butterfly story reminded me of that.

Yesterday, I spent a lot of time with my sewing machine. I am making some little surprises for my "Elf" It's fun to create some special things and start gathering goodies.

Wishing you all a fun day ahead. Blessing to all of you having procedures, etc. Love and Hugs.

Edit: Sorry, I missed you Maryz. We posted together today. I know I am not in the path for your migrating birds, but I am caring for the ones here in Illinois. Those little "piggy's" are sucking up my home made nectar like crazy!!!" I love them so much. They are so tiny and so cute. Also, I have been watching the wren house like a hawk, we have a young one ready to leave the nest. Finally had to give up though, I really got tired of staring at the bird house after about 45 mins. The adult bird (mother or father) was so cute trying to encourage the little thing to just come on out of the little hole.
I was enjoying watching the show.

VELDA - your red cardinal story reminded me of when my mom passed away. My brother lives in Alaska and he was down here, but his wife was at home. She had a gardenia plant that was dead, but she hadn't gotten around to tossing it out yet. The day after mom died, that plant was all green again. And within two days - the day of my mom's funeral - it was in full, fragrant bloom! My SIL was certain that it was Mom passing over the North Pole on her way to heaven!
