I am attempting to make a yo yo quilt. I have purchased a yo yo maker and have been making my yo yo's for my quilt. Wish me luck. I also think I will enroll in the Quilt University that is available online.

Brave you. I have tried to make a yo-yo and it looked like *#%@ so I purchased a yo-yo maker and still can't make one. I think I have a mental block when it comes to yo-yo's but I will keep on trying.

Whew, that's a lot of work. Be sure and post a picture when you have finished.

I have made yo yo's for two quilts that I gave to 2 of my nieces. They were easy to make. I didn't use a yo yo maker just cut out the circles and stitched them. It was fast and easy and they looked great. But the entire quilt in yo yo's, what a job. Have fun.

I have the yo-yo maker, but I really prefer doing the circles cut out, and then I have a plastic carrier that I stack with whatever I want to work on at doctor visits while waiting in the waiting room.
I have done quite a few this way and they always look great. They go very fast and it is easy to just shut the case and they are ready when I go the next time.

I have the Yo Yo makers but I haven't used them yet. I don't plan to make a Yo Yo Quilt, but, maybe, some throw pillows to go with my 30's Spring Morn Quilt!
