Building a Fabric Stash - Fat Quarter Sources

I'm new here and wondered if you ladies can tell me which online stores you frequent to buy fabric/fat quarters, etc. I, too, have looked on Ebay, but am leary about what I might end up with. If you have particular Ebay sellers you could recommend, I would appreciate it.

EDIT: I had to edit my post as I signed off with TIA [Thanks in Advance], an acronym used on message boards. My name is actually Sherry, so I didn't want to confuse you all [:)]

hi Tia... I would try the QIAD site... I also use connectingthreads.com and keepsake quilting ( on line) there are tons of places on line that have FQ;s.... you might also look through the ad's in a quilt magazine for places to shop

have you got a project in mind yet?

Thanks for your response. I took a class and made a log cabin quilt. I have also made a rag quilt. I just stumbled across this site and bought the pattern and dvd for the Northern Star Quilt. I have one more rag quilt cut to finish up and then I can start another.

Tia, I have bought on Ebay in the past..if you stick to the well known fabric mfgs. (Moda, etc.) you can't go wrong...also stick with sellers that have a really good feedback rating and that have been at Ebay a long time. But I've noticed that it is hard to save much money..you can by online sometimes cheaper.

Chriss is right, QIAD is good, Connecting Threads, Fabric Shack ...I guess nothing really beats looking at and feeling the fabric that you're buying, but with shops closing all over, it's getting hard to do that!

Sherry,

First, of course, is QIAD, marshallsdrygoods.com, connectingthreads.com, keepsakequilting.com, nancysnotions.com, hancocksfabrics.com, joanns.com, hancocks-of-paducah.com. There are hundreds that have been mentioned here. Do a google search, visit the sites, then use reputable names.
