You can go to www.quilthowto.com and check the lesson and free patterns for bargello quilts. There is a beginner lesson and it explains it really well. Good Luck. Pam

I found a book, "Beautiful Bargello" from Amazon.com. It has a beginners pattern, Barjelly Table Cover, that has easy step by step instructions. I've even been able to follow it and have used fat quarters to make a small version of it.

I'm going to check out the quilthowto.com that PamM mentioned also. You really just need easy to follow/understand directions and the rest is up to you with colors.

Let us know what you find........................

I will see if I can get in touch with her and tell you which pattern it is, as it is simple, yet beautiful.

Made what I thought was a really pretty bargello wall hanging from a class taught by Jean Webster, belive this was her name--I should not forget her name! She is from RC. Nice lady. It was in Hoffmand black with beautiful colors and metalic, plus a agua and white, and can''''t remember the other colors. Took off the boarder last year as it was too small. It was hanging on the wall, and thought I needed to re-do. When I get someone to get my camera going, well, taking it to wall greens and they can do it and then will post pictures up the yang yang.

I just read this today. I have made a wonderful bargello quilt. I used a book from One of the local quilt shops called Piecemakers Country Store. The book was inexpensive and very easy to follow. I have included a link for them. If you would like I could also send you a picture of the one I made from the book.

Good luck.

Jeff
