I am looking for a quilt block that resembles a snow flake.

Thanks Stargatefan.......I really like the one from Grandmother's Choice.
Looks like a traditional block, but by using mostly background fabric, it makes the points/angles stand out like a snowflake.

In the Holiday, 2009 Issue of The Quilter (called "Quilting for Christmas") there is a new Pam Bono pieced snowflake design. The samples look very pretty, but I haven't tried them myself - yet. Maybe later.

I am looking a one that is pieced. However, I can't find the pattern for the block. It was in the Quilters Newsletter Dated December 2005 and it is called a quilters snowflake. Love the quilt but when I go to Quilters Newletter Site they do not have this issue.

HOORAY, I think I found what you are looking for. I searched for Quilters Newsletter Magazine, December 2005, and came up with this PDF file. Is this it?

Thank you WEE ONE - - that should help. I do have the magazine for instruction. However, I have never used foundation piecing before, but I am sure I can figure it out.
