Barn Block Party - Finishing Size & Yardage Charts

Today we mailed the May block for Barn Quilts. Next month, I will include the "Finishing the Quilt" yardage and cutting charts. For those of you who can't wait, here is the chart:

White 2 ¼ yards
Lattice (9) 2 ½” strips
First Border (6) 2 ½” strips
Checkerboard (12) 2 ½” strips
Chicken Blocks (1) 6 ½” strip cut into
(4) 6 ½” squares

Black 1 ½ yards
Second Border (6) 1 ½” strips
Chicken Blocks (1) 6” squares
(4) 6” squares
Binding (11) 3” strips


Red 1 yard
Checkerboard (12) 2 ½” strips
Chicken Blocks (1) 2 ½” x 8”

Backing 4 ¾ yards

Batting 80” x 80”

Linda, is there a new "barn block " starting again? I just received an e-mail about it, and I don't know what the media theater is about. I have been out of the loop since last year with surgery, and family. I am sorry for asking so many questions. Thanks.

YOu can still join the American Barns Block Party until the end of the month. When you join they will send all the blocks we've done to date You can watch El make the blocks (and show us all the tricks) on the media theater. It's great fun. Here's a copy of Teresa's quilt:
