Just for me

Well here it is my latest project. I started while on Christmas break(as a school teacher)the day after Christmas, and I finished it Sunday night. Sometimes I fail to do things for myself, because I am so busy sewing for others. In the past year I made a lot of quilts, pot holders, hot pads, etc, but nothing for yours truly. This is not the case with this one. It is mine and I am not sure I will share at all. Ha Ha. I am so pleased, it is so me, filled with different materials and colors and the back is my favorite character, a snowman. The star material is 1930’s reproductions with a couple of pieces from the 1920’s. All of the stars are different. The size is a bit larger than most lap quilts, 54 x 70, we have found this size to be perfect to keep warm while watching TV or taking a nap.

Busylady I don't blame you. This is a gorgeous quilt and you did a fabulous job on it! I just love these fabrics. Beautiful and you so deserve keeping this for yourself! Thanks for sharing. Love it!

Busylady - I love this quilt, love the colors. Your piecing looks so precise. I don't blame you for keeping it. I made one for myself, too, last year. I call it my nap quilt - it's my Desert Beauty batik quilt. Anyway - your is just beautiful! Happy snuggles.
