Reducing Blocks for Victory Quilt
I am wanting to make the Victory Quilt with 4 inch blocks. Has anyone tried doing this and, if so, what have been the results. I'm concerned about the swag. Does that work reduced also? Thank you for sharing your experiences.

It would be absolutely adorable that small. I wouldn't begin to know how to reduce the directions. Interested to see if anyone can.

Re: Reducing Blocks for Victory Quilt
Judy Hopkins 501 Rotary Cut Blocks has the cutting instructions for the majority of the blocks in the quilt in various sizes, including 4 inch. I am most concerned about the star swag border that goes around the quilt. Since I am cutting the blocks down from 6 in to 4 inches, I'm thinking I would just reduce the swag pattern by 1/3. That would keep the 2/3 ratio. Does that make sense to others?

Majority of traditional blocks are royalty free and can be found by name (many times there are multiple names) in BLOCK BASE, then re-sized in ELECTRIC QUILT.
Block Base lists over 4000 blocks from Barbara Brachman's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BLOCKS..... Traditional blocks are known by multiple names and are from various parts of the country. Names of blocks are often changed when blocks are republished into new patterns.
I have found many of Eleanor's blocks (from other sampler quilts)in Block Base. I have used EQ6 for several years and found it to be handy in planning quilts...colors, designs, making quilts ... plus it is fun, fast and great for dreaming.
