I am making a rag quilt with cotton for the blocks and flannel in the middle, and I have made the squares into rows, and I need to sew the rows together and I don't know whether to sew the seams to one side or sew them open. Does it make any difference? I need to get this finished by Christmas and I have never made one before. Thought it would be quick and easy, Ha! Ha!
thanks

Thanks, Evie. I've looked at the directions on about.com a million times and never picked up on that. wish me luck.
