Hi Everyone, first I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me in the past. What a wonderful group!
My current dilemma is I need the directions to make a block called "Paddle Star". Does anyone have the directions for this block? I have tried googling it, but have not come up with anything. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm not familiar with this pattern, however I found a picture of a quilt that supposedly is the paddle star and mosaic blocks... Gorgeous!
Is this the block you are looking for a pattern for?

(If so, are you looking for the pink block or the blue?)

It could be the patten block called Paddlewheels. It looks like a spinning star.

Do you have a picture or drawing of the block?
It might be one of those with multiple names, or with a picture we might be able to figure it out...

Hello, I have a copy of an old ARDCO design called Paddle Star Block. A friend gave me a copy recently. I don't have directions, just a color graphic of the block. I need to draft the pattern, but it is basically a nine patch, that has a four patch in the center, 4 half square triangles surround the center, and each outer corner is a 4 patch made with two half square (small) triangles. Color placement is important, because the corners provide a secondary pattern. While the primary design appears as a spinning four point star, the secondary is an Ohio Star with a large center made up of four squares. If you email me, at hollyfielddesigns@gmail.com, I will scan this and send you a copy.
