My first customer quilt is done

Post by swtsarahjane » Thu Jul 17, 2008 2:51 am

This is my first quilt sale. It took me two hr to cut 5x5 all the blocks they where over 200 blocks to cut out. Then it took me six hr to sew all the blocks together and put the top together. Ittook two thrad and 7 bobbins to sew and quilted it. I did stick and Ditch .Four days to quilted the reson why was i took my time quilting. Customer wanted a twin size it come out to be a full size. She said it was fine then he can cover the hole bed. It make feel good that i can make quilts and be able to do something for myself. There is six diffent colors of blues and on the back it a drak blue i did not like it because you can see everything that quilt pick up. I got the backing from joann's. I would not buy a drak color for a backing again unless the customer ask for it. The backing photo did not turn out right and i put the quilt in the box so nothing will get on it again. i have to take a photo of the back to keep in my book for other customer can see what i have done. Thank you Sarah

Great job! That's cool that you already have a paying customer! I need to find one of those. :)
