Pattern Submission?

OK I need advice again. You ladies are such a wonderful information source!

Right now I have 2 patterns I recently made up that my friends love. One is a purse and the other is a quilt. They suggested I try to sell them to a magazine or pattern company.
Any advice on how to go about it or as to which companies are open to that? Any suggestions would be great!

Most magazines post their submission requirements on their websites, along with the themes they'll be doing in upcoming issues. I would look though several issues of different magazine titles and see which magazine comes closest to meeting the style of your purse and quilt for the best fit -- then submit to that magazine.
