I fell in love with a BOM kit this weekend at my LQS and decided to treat myself! I wanted to have a project to work on just for me in between all the quilts I make and give away. I have never done one of these before but I'm jumping right in. Anyway, I just finished the first cottage and I am really happy with it. Here are two pics: one is my first block. I still need to blanket stitch around the applique but will wait until I have all the blocks done to do it at the same time. The other is the kit finished.

Wow, What a pretty block and such nice work. That will be a very pretty quilt when you get it finished. Are the pieces all precut? Yes, please keep us posted as you work on it. I love it. I could live in a charming little cottage like that with flowers and birds around it. Hugs, Shirley Mae
