Memory Quilt

I'am looking for suggestions. I would like to do a memory quilt for my grand-daughters high school graduation. I have scanned several pictures and will be printing them on fabric. However, there are so many different colors in each picture; I am wondering how to put them together. Her school colors are purple and white, so my first thought was to get a purple print with a white back ground and do four patch blocks. Does anyone have other idea's

i quilted one about a year ago that the customer had used a beautiful floral it brought all the colors together nicely and then on the back she pieced the school colors together was very pretty

Check to see if she has any t-shirts, sweat shirts, etc from all of her school days. I included many things in my daughters that I had saved. Your granddaughter will enjoy this, but it is alot of work.

What about using some of her old clothes? Kinda like a scrap quilt?
