I know this is a stupid question. I am making flying geese and I'm not sure which way to press the seam allowance.
Does it go towards the center or away from? (I just bought el's rulers, but its too late for this project. Can anyone help me?

I typical press my seam allowances to the 'sky'. But I have seen instructions where one allowance goes to the 'sky' and the other goes to the 'geese'.

The QIAD book says to press them towards the sky (away from geese).

To the sky, definitely. Did all of mine this way for a double size and it worked beautifully.
