I actually spend quite a bit on food for just 2 people, close to $400 a month at least. And that's just the basics. DS's bread is $5 a loaf, and his cereal is $4 a box, and each lasts him a week if I'm lucky and remember to get crackers that payday. It's really hard dealing with the food allergies he has. There are days when I wish I could just make up a box of mac and cheese.

GP, when my boys were in HS, I offered them their lunch money and told them they could make their own lunch and safe their moeny.
Only one of them did that. He is truly succesfull being 30 now.

Tul.........I found some food (ok, I call it food, others might not!)
Some puff corn & M&M's.....both are easy to chew and taste so good right now. I finished sewing my blocks, all 12 of them and am waiting for photobucket to upload my picture so I can post it. It seems like it's taking forever tonight! Littlebit....Congratulations on your block, can't wait to see it. GP.....any color background for the french roses is fine, I trust your judgment.

I didn't quilt when my boys were young. Good thing. I LOVE fabric. I can't even buy clothes without touching the fabric as I pass by.
Yes, I was just looking at the fabric sale again. Stay away people it's deadly but beautiful.

Still have to sew it together, but this is what it'll look like. Still haven't decided on borders for it yet, the pattern calls for a 3-inch which I'll do in the pink.

I have four kids - three stepsons ages 28, 22, and 21 and a daughter who just turned 13. I thought the boys ate alot at that age (they were 17, 11, and 10 when I married their dad and they all lived with us!), but my DD can put away as much food as they could. Luckily we live on a livestock farm so I have always had an unlimited supply of home grown meat in the freezer!!

JW it must be so hard to find ways to feed your son the right foods for him. I know it can be time consuming work. Do you think he may outgrow this

Bout 15 years ago we spend $1000 a month on groceries for the 7 of us.
Yes $250 a week. On fridays the fridge and cup boatrds would get stocked. All soda's and easy foor would be gone by Monday morning. 3 Of them being teenage boys. Jeff in his late twenties. We had mounjts and mounts of bills. YEACKS.
