Sunsup, I'm making the Galaxy Star from Perfecting Patchwork. Someone mentioned that we could use a scrapy pattern that wasn't on the Quiltville site. I had been wanting to make the galaxy star, so that's the one I decided to start first.

When I get this one finished, I going to make the Boxy Star from the Quiltville site. I think it's pretty. It should use up alot of my remaining scraps.

I found Prefecting Patchwork, but they seem to be updating something and I couldn't find Galaxy Star. I'll have to wait for your photo.

Perfection Patchwork is updating. I hope Jodi has added more videos when they are up and working again.

Although this is not a pattern on the Quiltville site, but I do use Bonnie's method of sorting my scraps, as well as the leader/ender to sew the blocks. That's how I did the 4-patches. This quilt is for my 6 week old great-niece Violet Gabrielle. The only thing purchased for this quilt was the binding. The backing is a purple tone on tone which was given to me.

I have all my "Bricks & Stepping Stones" cut. Have stitched the stones to the bricks. Plan to take it all to the quilting retreat I'm going to on the 25th and finish it there.

Dug out a couple of books I had on scrappy quilts and found a few nice quilts to start on next. Finally finished my granddaughter's quilt that she pieced. Have one more quilt to quilt for Quilterbee and then I can really get into those scraps. This has also helped my New Year's resolution of using up my stash....or at least cutting it down a bit.

This weekend I sewed up a storm. The primary thing I did was work on my friend's daughter's t-shirt quilt. She's been putting it off for nearly 10 years and we decided it had to be done NOW. It's not finished, but all the rows are sewn together. I hope to finish it up sometime this week. My friend bought the sashing & backing, and I pulled the corner stones from my collection of music fabric.

While working on it, and the Thangles BOM UFO I finished Saturday, I sewed 2" pastel squares together to make a twin size 4-patch stripy quilt to make the baby quilt I made a few weeks ago. I ran out of 2" squares, and got the 4-patches sewn together. Now I've got to cut the setting triangles. If I counted correctly, I have enough now to make the quilt.

I've also made another Tossed 9-patch using the leftover fabric from the 'No Blue Geese in My Tropical Garden' I made last year. The only 'new' fabric was the center blue square -- and it was purchased to finish the UFO mentioned above, so technically it came from my stash by the time it made it into this quilt. The squares are a pretty royal blue, so I'll have to figure out a creative name for it.

Knitnoid. . . . I really like your quilt. It is sort of an organized scrappy. I might be able to do one like yours.
