Wow, look at all those geese! It's turning out really well. Now, I know what a house quilt is. Thank you.

I posted another picture of my quilt in the photo section. It is all pinned and sitting on my machine waiting to be quilted, which I plan on starting before the end of the day.

After making all those geese I don't think I will use that pattern for awhile.LOL

WOW! I love it!!! But I do not blame you for not wanting to do another one maybe tomorrow. LOL That is a lot of geese but so beautiful! I am ashamed to admit that I have never made Flying Geese with El's rulers. Made one the old fashioned way & NEVER again. It ended up being a very smallm baby quilt. Actually more doll sz. After all that work, no way will it be a doll quilt. LOL Yours is a beauty & I am anxious to see it quilted.

I've used her ruler for FG, but only as points on a star, but a whole flock, like Sewsew's sure is pretty. Maybe some day.

Well I have added another UFO..more like a fixing/restoration. I made my DH a picture quilt a couple years ago for him to have while in South Korea. But I didn't have a lot of money or time, so it wasn't very well put together. It was also never quilted. So I brought it out and I think I will be taking it apart down to the photo blocks, re-do a bunch of the borders around the blocks with new better fabric, bind it properly, replace the batting and quilt it.

A UFO with a noble cause! We have some pillows DH's grandma made and they are really falling apart...I'd like to try to put them back together again somehow, but I'm not sure if one can be spared. It's in pretty bad shape.

I had to set my beautiful "big" quilt aside for a couple of days.
I didn't like how the quilting was coming along on the inside borders. The thread I was using was too light colored and the quilting was too obvious. Sine there is so much pattern in the design I wanted the quilting to blend in more so I will have to go buy different colored thread. DH is having surgery tomorrow to repair a hernia so I won't be able to get to the LQS until Saturday.

I guess I will move on to something else for a couple of days.

Ann, I will certainly be praying for your DH & for you. I hope he gets along as well as our 16 yr old DGS did when he had one repaired recently. Being a kid helps I know, but I am wishing DH an extremely easy recovery. Please let us know when you get home with your DH tomorrow & how it went.

Huge Hugs & Much Love

I think we need a seperate catagory for restoration UFOs. Kind of a
sub-listing. LOL

Ann, I too hope the surgery goes well. I heard the recovery, not being able to lift is quite long. (((hugs)))

armywife that sounds like a lot of work. Good luck.

I'm quilting a top I made last Nov. It's the second top I'm quilting this week. Yippie. Seems like I make 3 to 4 tops to every one I get quilted. I'm going to try and get my autograph block quilt quilted this weekend too. That will be 3 in one week....hopefully. Lori
