hmmm red in the quilt is great, my daughter's room is red/white/black and the quilt I made her for Christmas was black/white/gold.

I love how the gold looked and think I might use that again, but then again I recently saw a very pretty dress that was black and white with some very pretty vibrant blue accents.....

As we are all talking about accent colours - what about lime green? When I was buying my fabrics for the swap I was buying a bit of lime green for something else. The lady cutting the fabric thought they all went quite well together. Must be a very 'now' trendy colour scheme. I like the more traditional red accent.

Carole,
I asked the same thing before. You're right. A black fabric would work. A white fabric would work. You can also buy fabric with both black and white in it.

I'm really excited about this swap as I think what we make will be dramatic, striking and 'very grown up'. Can you tell I'm working with I SPY fabrics lately :)

My aunt made an absolutely beautiful black & white with a tad of red quilt--- I think it's called "Boulliabase", and it is stunning! I also think that electric blue or lime green would be WOW! I had never thought of the green, but I know it would be very pretty!

I've been trying to resist any more swaps for a while--- trying to catch up, but you are tempting me to joing this one!

I'll give it some thought today....

Last night, on a show I was watching, I saw a very pretty dress--- black and white with a bit of hot pink for accent! And I saw a quilt online that was black, white and very vibrant yellow-- also very pretty. I'm thinking black and white will look stunning with most colors-- what about fuschia or purple or orange-- etc, etc, etc...

I'm hem-hawed (haven't hear *that* expression in a while! ;-) around and missed the sign-up date! :-( I kept telling myself that I didn't need to do any more swaps for a while, but kept thinking "this is one swap that I *Really* want to do!

So, if I'm not too, too late, I would LOVE to join. I've already got some great b/w fabric, and can cut it and have it ready to mail maybe by tomorrow...

I sent a pm to Janicesquilts to see if I can still join and request her address.

If I missed out, then I'll enjoy seeing all the neat things you all make!

Gwen
