Sonya- I am surprised!! I didn't think they would go anywhere today, since it is Veterans Day. Hmmm.... interesting.

Here is a pic of the blocks. It isn't a very good pic, but you will get your blocks soon, so you can see them in person.

Izzy, Not only is it fun but I love how it comes out...like an antique...You take a VERY STRONG mixture of coffee (I have jars of instant that were on sale that are years old!...some use tea but I prefer both the smell and the color coffee gives and add whatever essence you want (I am using caramel for these) ...usually an oil like you would use in candle or soap making...you only use a small amount so it really doesn't affect the fabric...which you want "grungy" anyhow..then you boil all that along with a few tablespoons of cinnamon and nutmeg...and throw in a few cloves and maybe some star anise and after you bring all that to a boil you turn off the burner and submerge what you are "we call it grunging" and soak it until you have a color just a tad darker than you want...if you are using drip coffee use the grinds and throw them in too and then there will be a mottled rust stain look..after that you rinse it out real well and dry on the clothes line...after you are all done you finish your project and and wash in cold water and dry in dryer...it fades a bit over time but not much...One time I was making primitive dolls to sell and some to keep...:) and I had body parts hanging from my pot rack because it was raining out and at that place I did not have a basement to hang them...my husband came downstairs after he got ready for work and turned on the kitchen lights and screamed bloody murder...I almost broke my neck running down the stairs to see what happened..I think that is about the closest I have ever come to dying by laughing!!!...at the time he did not find my reaction amusing...now he cannot tell that story without laughing! :)..Such is the life of a primitives maker...:)...you should try it some time...:)...Sonya.
