redtop good to see you today! I hope to finish the "evil" flowers so I can give them back to the lady they belong to. I have lost any blessings in doing something nice for someone by complaining about it so much!

Maw, I know how you feel about a project you don't like. When I'm not enjoying sewing something, It usually becomes another UFO.

Did you guys see the SBS picture posted in the swap thread??

an elderly lady that lives up the street from me loves to quilt and she bought a BOM like 3 years ago from Joanns, she has all the blocks finished except the center it has 5 applique flowers and she can't see well enough to applique so I said I would do it.
WELL I tried doing them El's way and I got them all cut out ready to press down and I realised I put the fusable on the wrong way. So I had to unpick them all and since I had cut them all out I didn't have enough edge to resew fusable to them and because it was an old kit I couldn't get more of the fabric. So I am having to needle turn them and its tough cause there is very little to turn. SIGH!
I will post a pic

You are so nice to do this for her. Someday we may be in her shoes.

my complaining is mostly about my own stupidity! I wouldn't have to do them needle turn if I had done the fusable the right way. Oh well. She is a sweet lady and I want her to be able to finish her quilt.

It looks nice and you are very sweet to do this for her. Can you use plain old fusible?
