I'm back for a minute. Had a delicious sausage pasta casserole for dinner. The rain has stopped for now. I hope to get the rest of the decorations done tomorrow & the house back to "Normal". The grandkids helped take the tree down this morning.

Tulpje I live in Vista about 40+ miles north of you. I will probably fly to redding. I've driven it in one day but its tiring. There are a few nice quilt shops up there. I'll see if I can get the names.

Hi everyone!! I hope everyone is enjoying a very "pieceful" evening. I got my ironing done and I finished my French Rose blocks yesterday so now I'm going to work on my UFO's. I should get the pink blocks done for El's Pink Angel Squad before I work on UFO's...they've waited this long, they can wait a little longer. :) Have a good night everyone!

I'm back! I got my RR done! I am so happy!

My DD's primary instrument is clarinet (she is first chair this year. :) ) but she also plays trumpet in the jazz band. She plays some piano, tenor sax and she just started trombone. Her BFF plays trumpet.

Hello everyone! Well, I haven't done anything on my churn dash quilt today. I'm having border anxiety. I can't decide what to do with the borders. I have 3 different ideas. I'll either keep it like it is with just the setting triangles and a really thin border, add the borders like I had originally planned(a pieced border of 2 1/2" squares then a bigger outer border) or put a light colored folded border then the bigger outer border. At least I know I can quilt it at home without setting up the hand quilting frame now. I got a free motion foot for my treadle today.

Hi everyone! I just decided to stop by. Been sewing for the last three and one half hours and needed a break. Not used to that cold weather huh GP!! We actually have it pretty nice up here; it's about 30 degrees right now at 9:43pm.

JW, your churn dash is just beautiful..

Hi Cathy, sorry about the froggin' but I bet the quilt will be perfect and who ever it is for will love it.

Grammy2, your dinner sounds great, what's in the casserole? Did you save us all some?

Hi Sandy, sounds like you have been busy.

Ladiehummer... do you have a lot of snow? My Granddaughters other grandparents live in Michigan...

Thanks, Marilynsgrammy, I worked pretty hard on it considering I just did it to learn how to put blocks on point. I still need some practice at that, but I'm sure I'll do another set on point eventually. Next I'm going to use it to learn how to free motion quilt on my machine:)

Good evening everyone.

I am happy to say taht I finished a baby quilt last night...It is just 2 solid pieces of fabric ( one of Noah's Ark and the other a white with blue plaid ) with batting sewn together. I hope that qualifies as a quilt!! Please :) ,let it be so. The mom had to have emergency C-section...so of course the quilt was 6 days late, but he now has it.

Congrats to Lee's dau. and her friend.

Hope you all start feeling better, enjoy some warmth..if any is available, and stop hogging all the snow. ;)

Enjoy your quilting!!!

Susan
