I like Denise's idea of getting a phone number... and I also agree that our swaps are lasted too long.. I thought the Christmas swap would never end... I think three months is enough time for those of us who work to get our blocks made on the weekends and in the mail...

back when the swap rules were made there was one that said, or maybe it was just proposed, that anyone not communicating or not following through would be asked to sit out the next few swaps...after all they are letting others down... and all communication takes is a few minutes....

Carolyn- I got your cute penguin blocks today. the photos don't do them justice. Beautiful!

Jacquie- I went and picked up your blocks from the post office. You have outdone yourself. I wish I was as creative as you. And as usual the photos can't begin to show how great they are.

You ladies going to be thrilled with your blocks. Every time I get a set.. I show my hubby and he says I am spoiled. :D I think so too.

Chriss- Ditto to your last post. I also swap on another site and the rules say there that you will be put on a list if you don't keep your commitment. The only excuse that is accepted is if you are hospitalized or 6 feet under.
If you take a spot in a swap like these, and don't follow through, not only are the rest of the swappers not going to get a block, it also took the opportunity away from someone else that could have joined in the swap.
Everyone needs to think about these things, and be considerate.

Ladies - so sorry for not keeping updated on my progress. As Vinae said, I have 3 left they take about a 1/2 hour to applique but I'm really liking them. I hope you will to! My sister was hospitalized for 54 days, starting on Sept. 4, suffering from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I was able to stay with her after she was released for 3 weeks, and she lives in the boonies, no internet and spotty cell phone reception! I can't beleive these places still exist (LOL!).

Anyway I'm almost done and will have them in the mail before Thanksgiving. Again, my apologizes and I hope I haven't caused anyone undue stress! I'm thankful that my life will be getting back to normal now.

What are you all doing for the label on the blocks?

woo hoo, I am glad the fireplaces are coming along..

and I am so intrigued about the snow flakes Tracy... I can't wait to see them.... I have been wanting to applique some but am very chicken... maybe I will get some clues when I see yours....

as for my label, I just got some sticky labels and wrote my name on them and stuck them to the back of my blocks...

wow Vinae.. this is coming together nicely... I am sure Viv has her blocks in the mail already and it everyone else seems to be finishing up...... what fun... this is really going to be a cool quilt.
