UFO completed!!!!! Picture added to the quilting photo discussion titled First grandchild quilt.

I am moving on to the next UFO. I have three tops completed for the grandchildren needing my quilting. The next grandchild quilt is in the frame just barely started.

In the mean time I decided to make a red, white, and blue quilt for my youngest son. I nearly have all of the blocks complete. So far it is looking great and he is so pleased. He made the comment last week that I could not sew the blocks together until he moves the blocks where he wants them. He claims he has final approval. LOL

Busylady, how old is this block moving GS?

The tractor quilt is not started yet. The log cabin seemed the way to go, but I didn't have the fabric for it. I squared it with black so it'd be on point and was thinkin of something like french braid. I have shaded fabrics that would work, but I'd have to fiddle with the pattern and it'd be alot of work. Still, I was comitted to it until I got the darned QIAD newsletter! I had to check out the skinny bolts and of corse ordered greens and golds. So I may be back to the log cabin, but I have to wait for the fabric to see how the colors really look.

In the mean time started another servic quilt. Does that mean I now have 2 ufos?? LOL

This great block moving son is 30 years old! And he definitely is a hoot, meaning he has something to say about everything. A funny guy. I have 3 sons and 9 natural grandchildren and 3 grandchildren that have been blended into the family so I have my work cut for me. It is a great challenge to make 12 quilts by their 13th birthday.

I got the red, white, and blue quilt top complete with border. It is a huge quilt. My good son loves it but is discouraged to think that it probably won't be ready for him to use for a year. Poor guy, I guess he will find out how long it took me to wait for him to be born. LOL
