This is a picture of my UFO Scrappy Jewel Box. I sew on it when I have a handful of scraps and I don't have another project going. Someday I will have enough large blocks to make a quilt. I have 10 blocks made so far. All of the pattern squares came from other sewing projects. It will be my memory quilt someday.
Wow! when I saw the pictures of the Jewel Box pattern by Cindyg I didn't recognize the pattern that I used for my granddaughter's quilt I made 4 years ago. It was all scrappy, like the one by busylady! The pattern was easy, but the really hard part, for me, was trying not to have the same fabric next to each other when you put the blocks together--
busylady, it is probably easier to do it a block at a time, using the scraps from different projects. I used 30's repro fabric and it was a zillion different fabrics! There were fabric strips everywhere!
Love the jewlbox quilts. Thank you for posting the pictures. The colors in Cindy's are deffinately me. I guess I'll have to add jewlbox to my long list ow wims. LOL
